Travel in a fully air conditioned van, and head to the fortress of San Diego built in the year of 1616 by the Spanish Crown. After a thorough explanation of the site by your knowledgeable tour guide, head to see the Acapulcan show by the High Cliff Diver, an spectacle that contributed making of Acapulco what it is today.
Once the show is over, go to the Exekatlikalli House. The iconic mansion is one of the most important cultural attractions in the destination as it houses the last six murals by Rivera, including a naturally colored Aztec serpent mosaic on the mansion's façade. The House of Winds, purchased by the National Council of Culture and Arts and the Carlos Slim Foundation, intends to promote the destination's cultural identity as well as cultural exchanges with other cities and countries around the globe.
Afterwards visit Los Flamingos, this hotel is a testament to the glory days of Old Hollywood, with old photographs of the stars of bygone years and Johnny Weismuller's bungalow, former Tarzan. Los flamingos an icon of old Acapulco. The historic property was once the hideaway of the Hollywood gang including john Wayne...

The guide and tour was pretty good. However on connecting with the other guide, who seemed to be the main man, the one who met us off the ship to organize us into various groups the communications got confusing. Our tickets said we had complimentary margaritas or beer but this was only offered in an inclusive fee at the hotel to watch the high divers. We did not pay this fee. At the end I was pretty sure that we had San Diego Fort included but according to our guide, the main man had said only one couple on the tour had this included, not us. Were they trying to recoup some money I wonder? Anyway unsatisfactory organization which is a shame as our guide was good.
Very informative tour. You could tell our guide, Roger, loved showing us the fort. We could have been there all day because Roger had so much information he wanted to share. However, we had to leave to be in time to see the cliff divers. Cliff divers are a must if you are in Acapulco. Highly recommend this tour.
This tour was incredible, first we went to the chapel of peace, located at the top of the hill with an amazing view of the bay, then we went to the San Diego Fort Historical Museum, an awesome fortress from 17th century where you can learn about the first natives in Acapulco, after this stop, we went to the old town district where there's a Diego Rivera's mosaic mural, a great piece of art. Our guide Jose was very gentle and professional. Thanks for share your city and this great experience. I highly reccommend this company!
