Angra do Reis, also known as ‘The Bay of Kings’ is one of Brazil’s most dazzling and breath taking destinations. Composed of 365 islands and over 2,000 beaches, Angra dos Reis is the tropical vacation destination of travellers’ fantasies. The city’s centre is reminiscent of smaller colonial cities and boasts amazing historical monuments, churches and architecture. Ilha Grande, the largest island of the 365 and serves as the main attraction and was used as the colonial centre for pirates who originally settled there. You will have also the opportunity to visit the different islands and beaches as well as enjoy the exclusivity of their sandy shores.

Day 1: Ilha Grande

Stop At: Freguesia de Santana Beach, Angra Dos Reis, Ilha Grande, State of Rio de Janeiro Brazil
It was here in the Parish of Santana that started the settlement of Ilha Grande. In the seventeenth century was the center of economic development of Ilha Grande, agricultural region with large crops of coffee, vegetables and cereals, as well as sugar mills and spirits. In the same way as the Ensenada de Palmas, the Parish of Santana was very inhabited in the past and little inhabited today, with only 50 residents. Today it is a prominent tourist spot, not only for the Big Island, but also for the city of Angra dos Reis, from which depart schooner and boat trips.

Simple and quiet beach, is surrounded by large stones and preserved native forest. It's small and cozy, great for those looking for a good place to rest. With a good stretch of golden sand, it has calm and transparent waters.
