The driver will picks you up at your hotel in Xela. The adventure starts in Salcajá, located 30 minutes far from Xela.
In Salcajá you will see the firts founded Catholic church in Central America. The guide will explain all the history of this church and the town. After that you will go to visit a local family where you can taste and learn about the "Caldo de Frutas" a local sweet wine. Perfect to continue the trip around the town.
Later, the driver will take you to San Andres Xecul, a Maya Mam town where is located the most colorful church in Guatemala. This town is a wonderful way of learn the actual Mayan culture and traditions but also the history of the colonization.
