Planeta Cacao is a cacao garden, an experience with the educational, cultural and touristic concept.
It is located in rural area of El Tondoroque, Bahia de Banderas Nayarit, 15 minutes from Puerto Vallarta, just 5 from Nuevo Vallarta or Bucerias.
Visitors know about the history of cacao and chocolate in the world, the tree and its cultural uses, ethnohistorical data of the cacao in the Bay of Banderas (cultivated in Nayarit for more than a thousand years) nutritional benefits of this superfood and for of course the artisan chocolate workshop, which illustrates the process from the cultivation, harvesting, fermentation, drying and grinding of this precious seed.
There is an exhibition area of old utensils, drinks prepared with cocoa, traditional mud kitchen and a chocolate store with products homemade.
