Once you're picked up at the airport you will be taken to the Pointe-a-Pierre Wildfowl Trust, which is just 1 hour away. At the Trust, you will be greeted by a friendly staff and guide who will share with you its story, its objectives, and you will be given a great tour amongst the birds! There are some uneven surfaces on which you will be walking so comfortable shoes need to be worn. There are lots of photo opportunities so make sure your cameras are fully charged! Included in the experience is the sight up close of our National Bird, the Scarlet Ibis, which are there being rehabilitated. Following the tour, you will be taken directly back to the airport. Your luggage travels with you for free.

After you are picked up at the airport you will be driven through a very well manicured oil storage facility to visit a thriving wildfowl wetland area. The Pointe-a-Pierre Wild Fowl Trust is not only a beautiful birding area but is also a rehabilitation area for injured and endangered birds. Learn about all the species that live there as they walk and fly freely around you. You’ll be walking along a boardwalk as well as some uneven terrain so comfortable shoes are required.
