Stop At: Koutoubia Mosque, Rue el Ksour, Derb Sabai, 13, Marrakech 40000 Morocco

Your Private City Tour starts at the Koutoubia Mosque, a key piece in Morocco’s history, built during the 12th century under the Almohad Dynasty. Its minaret remains the tallest building in Marrakech so it can be visible from almost everywhere in the city, like a guiding star, helping you to get directions when you're lost.

Stop At: Bahia Palace, Avenue Imam El Ghazali, Marrakech 40000, Morocco

Next, you'll visit the exquisite Bahia Palace that fascinates everyone by its fine Moorish architecture, gorgeous ceramic tiles and the majestic beauty of its colors.

Stop At: Mellah, Marrakech Morocco

Then, you'll walk through a very interesting part of the Medina, the Jewish Quarter (Mellah), which will help you understand the important role of the Jewish culture and community in developing the unique identity of Marrakech & Morocco.

Stop At: Slat Al Azama Synagogue, Derb Saka, Marrakech 40000 Morocco

And you'll enter Morocco's largest Synagogue "Slat Al Azama", founded in 1492 by Jews who were expelled from Spain. It is still in use and is popular for Jewish weddings and Bar Mitzvahs. Out of respect for the community, please note that photos are discouraged and entrance is not allowed during Shabbat.

Stop At: Bab Agnaou, Marrakech Morocco

If you wish, you'll go inside one of the city's well-reputed herbal stores, where you can learn everything you want to know about herbs, spices and essential oils while having a Moroccan mint tea and some local pastry. Then, you'll continue your way towards Bab Agnaou, one of the nineteen gates of Marrakech and the main entrance to the Royal Kasbah.

Stop At: Kasbah, Marrakesh 40000, Morocco

There, we'll invite you to a unique cultural trip back in time to discover two points of interest: 1/ the Farnatchi, where you can uncover the process of heating the water in traditional public steam baths, called hammams, which dates back to Roman times; the Farnatchi is also where some locals still bring their dishes (especially the typical Tanjia) to be slowly cooked in a wood-fired oven; 2/ an age-old bakery where artisanal bread is still cooked the old fashioned way;

Then, you'll take some time to escape, for a while, from the frantic pace of the Medina. And we couldn't think of any better place for that than Le Jardin Secret, a pleasant quiet oasis and one of the city's best gardens.

Stop At: Ali Ben Youssef Mosque, Marrakech Morocco

The last mosque you're going to visit during this Private City Tour will be the oldest one and arguably the most important in Marrakech: Ali Ben Youssef Mosque.
And you'll complete your cultural trip back in time by visiting a Foundouk, where caravan travelers in ancient times could rest and recover from the day’s journey, before continuing their routes east or to the Sahara.
