From October 18th, 2018 MO has become an excellent place to spend free time. MO invites visitors to attend exhibitions, film screenings, educational activities, concerts and events geared to all age groups.
MO is openness. Art can be accessible to everyone. This is the MO we hope to create: a welcoming museum for first-time visitors and art professionals alike.
MO is a conversation partner. Art invites us to talk to one another about the stories, colors and shapes captured by artwork. Today, museums aren’t just archives – they help build relationships between artwork and museum visitors. MO embraces the latest practices implemented by museums around the world, by sharing its knowledge and creating interactive tools for learning more about art.
MO is alive. Our museum is a living space of discovery, which is why we seek to share our knowledge and create a meaningful museum experience everywhere – not just in the exhibition halls.

Visit: MO Museum, Pylimo g. 17, Vilnius 01141 Lithuania
Established by philanthropists Danguolė and Viktoras Butkus, MO treasures a significant collection of more than 5000 pieces of modern and contemporary Lithuanian artworks from the 1950s till present. Some of the pieces in this collection were shown to the public for the first time in 2018 when the newly built MO opened its doors. The building itself, designed by the world-renowned
Poilish-American architect Daniel Libeskind, provides an amazing architectural experience. More compact and intimate than the Jewish Museum in Berlin or the World Trade Center in Manhattan
it can compete with them in terms of ingenuity. MO Museum is an excellent place to top up your visit in Vilnius. Spend a few meaningful hours in our exposition halls or in the sculpture garden and terrace, treat yourself at MO Bistro or get your unique Lithuanian designs and souvenirs from the MO Shop.
