The 12 Day Adventure is a mixture of primates and wildlife. The best part of this package is that we take you off the beaten path and take you closer to the community. It will take you to most of Uganda’s best national parks; Murchison falls national park the most visited park in the country, Kibale national park- home to the most number of Chimps, Queen Elizabeth national park, Bwindi national park and a feel of Lake Bunyonyi.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to the Pearl of Africa – Transfer to the Hotel

Stop At: Lake Victoria, Entebbe, Central Region
On your arrival, Great Trekkers Safaris representative will welcome you to Uganda at Entebbe airport and transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe. Enjoy the breeze from Lake Victoria – 2nd largest lake in the world
Duration: 12 hours

Meals included:
• Dinner: Dinner will be served at the Lodge. Other meals like Lunch will be optional depending on the arrival time of the clients
Accommodation included: Overnight at Pineapple guest house / 2 Friends guest house all 4 star lodges.

Day 2: Entebbe - Ziwa - Murchison Falls National Park

Stop At: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
The journey is a magical adventure with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary route to track Rhinos. Your ranger guide will brief you after which you proceed to trek Rhinos in the sanctuary. After this fulfilling experience and photo session, we proceed to Murchison falls National Park

Day 3: Game drive and Boat Safari on River Nile

Stop At: Murchison Falls National Park, Masindi, Western Region
Murchison Falls National Park is the biggest National Park in Uganda and offers fulfilling game viewing. The game drives start early morning right after breakfast which increases the chances of sighting different animals especially the predators that tend to go into hiding during the heat of the day. The game drive happen in the northern bank of River Nile, where we look out for giraffes, elephants, hartebeest, Buffaloes, Leopards, Lions and different bird species. In the after-noon, the safari will continue on River Nile – Nile boat safari towards the mighty Murchison falls. The relaxed boat safari provides more opportunities for spotting a variety of animals and birds and falls from. You have an opportunity to watch the falls from below. Do the hike to the top of the falls

• Lunch: This will be early lunch so as to cope up with the time for the boat cruise.

Day 4: Murchison Falls – Kibale National Park

Pass By: Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary, Fort Portal, Western Region
Today we depart for the primates capital; Kibale National Park. Kibale forest is home to 13 species of primates with the main attraction being chimpanzee tracking and bird watching. The journey to this tropical forest passes villages and colorful road markets

Meals included:
• Breakfast: This will be at the lodge in Murchison falls National park
• Lunch: Lunch will be enroute
• Dinner: Dinner will be at the Lodge in Kibale.
Accommodation included: Overnight at Isunga Safari lodge / Kibale Forest Cottages all 4 star Lodges.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking – Bigodi Community Walk

Stop At: Kanyanchu Visitor Centre, Kibale National Park, Western Region
Chimpanzee tracking is a fulfilling adventure that takes you deep in the tropical forest with streams of water and abundant wildlife. You will start with a briefing from the ranger guide about your chimp trek. On your trek, you might have sightings of red-tailed monkeys, black-and white Columbus monkeys, butterflies, and birds calling from the canopies. With the help of your ranger guide, you will locate the chimps. Enjoy picture moments and watch them as they play, groom, and feed

Stop At: Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary, Fort Portal, Western Region
a community project known for its rich diversity of birds and primates depending on the availability of time. This community project is involved in providing employment for youth through tour guiding, some of the proceeds go into establishment of schools and teachers pay

Day 6: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth national park

Pass By: Rwenzori Mountains, Kasese, Western Region
After breakfast, take a three-hour picturesque ride to Queen Elizabeth National park via the Kasese area, famous for the great Rwenzori Mountains and the crater lakes

Day 7: Game drive & Boat cruise - Queen Elizabeth national park

Stop At: Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kasese, Western Region
Early Morning rise up, have breakfast and depart with packed lunch for an early morning game-drive. Queen Elizabeth National Park’s diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters. The Park is a home to lion, leopard, and giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, waterbuck, Uganda Kob, and bush buck. The park has also retained its reputation as an ornithologists’ delight with more than 600 species of bird found here

Stop At: Kazinga Channel, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Western Region
afternoon take a boat-ride on Kazinga Channel to see birds, semi- and aquatic animals that rely on the channel for their livelihood

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth national park - Ishasha sector

Stop At: ishasha sector
Breakfast, ride to Ishasha Section of the Queen Elizabeth in search of the tree climbing lions often to be seen in the vicinity of the camp which is situated just off the Northern circuit game viewing track. Later, utilize the network of park trails to explore more of the scenic beauty and rich wildlife of this remote parkland bordering the Congo

Day 9: Queen Elizabeth- Bwindi Impenatrable Forest National Park

Pass By: Bwindi Inpenetrable Forest, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Western Region
Early morning drive to Bwindi through Ishasha section of Queen Elizabeth national park with a chance to have a glimpse of the famous tree-climbing lions. Arrive in the evening, check in have dinner and get ready for your gorilla adventure the following day

Day 10: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa community experience

Stop At: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Kabale, Western Region
Today is the long awaited day! Early morning preparations for the activity, pack lunch, attend briefing by the Ranger-guide, get hold of a walking stick and follow the Ranger to the Sanctuary. Maximum time allowed with the fascinating Gorillas is one hour. Spend the rest of the evening visiting the Batwa community

Day 11: Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi

Stop At: Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort
Have morning breakfast, check out of lodge and we transfer to Lake Bunyonyi arriving later in the afternoon. Check in, have lunch and later we do a boat cruise where we get to visit several islands on this lake

Day 12: Lake Bunyonyi to Kampala - Entebbe

Stop At: Uganda Equator, Kayabwe, Central Region
Have morning breakfast, check out and we embark on a road drive to Entebbe making several stop over en route for a community visit to the children school at Nyabuhama a charity project supported by our company before we proceed with our drive stopping for lunch and photo experience at the Uganda Equato
