Overview Overview

zavkhan Province is not well studied by tourism and one of the most untouched land of Mongolia. This province is unique for its cross mixture of desert and grassland landscape. The average altitude of the land is around 2000metre ASL. and the capital town of the province located 1000km from Ulaanbaatar city.

The main tourist attractions are; River that flows form underneath the sand dune, untouched sand shore lake, high Rocky Mountains.

What to Expect What to Expect

Day 1. Fri.           Fly to Zavkhan Province / Mount Otgontenger (06:10 – 08:10)

Pick up from hotel and transfer to airport to catch a flight to Donoi airport. After deplane continue drive to Dayan Mountain to have close view of Mount Otgontenger. On the way picnic lunch next to the river or a lake. After visiting the close sight of Khangai Mountain Peak drive to Uliastai town to check in hotel. In the evening free for leisure. Overnight stay in a local hotel. (L/D)

 Day 2. Sat.          Ulaagchiin Khar Nuur (Lake)

In the morning after breakfast at local hotel start the journey to one of the most untouched lakes Ulaagchiin Khar Nuur (Lake) to enjoy the lake shore activity. Overnight stay in a Ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 3. Sun.         Ulaagchiin Khar Nuur (Lake) – Senjit Khad – Mukhart river – Ulaagchiin Khar Nuur (Lake)

Early morning after breakfast drive up to the mountain top to drive through the rock gate called Senjit Khad to reach a Mukhart River. And drive back to the lake for overnight in Ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 4. Mon.       Drive to Uliastai

After lunch visit to Nomadic family on the way to Uliastai. Overnight stay in a local hotel. (B/L/D)

Day 5. Tue.         Fly to Ulaanbaatar 08:30/10:25

In the morning after breakfast catch a flight to Ulaanbaatar city and transferred to the hotel for check in. (B)

Price included: excursions as per itinerary, meals as mentioned, Ger camp accommodation, local hotel in Uliastai town, entrance fees to national parks, Zavkhan RT airfare, guide service and all transfers.
