Day 1: Arrival Cape Town Airport

Pass By: Cape Town International Airport, Matroosfontein, Cape Town, 7490, South Africa
On arrival at the Cape Town International Airport, you will meet your Safari Director in the arrivals terminal. Depending on your time of arrival we will either head straight to the hotel or detour via the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
The Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens are truly spectacular and you may take a walk on the paved walkways to stretch your legs or find some sustenance in one of the fine restaurants.
Once your room is ready we will head off to the hotel where you can check in and put up your feet to rest.

Accommodation included: The Vineyard Hotel in Cape Town situated on the Eastern slopes of Table Mountain in the Southern Suburbs.

Day 2: Cape Peninsula Tour including Boulders Beach Penguins

Stop At: Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point Rd, Table Mountain National Park 8001 South Africa
After a leisurely breakfast, you will meet your Safari Director in the foyer and depart for the scenic drive around the Cape Peninsula.
Our first stop is at Cape Point National Park where you may take the Flying Dutchman Funicular for a short ride up the hill to the Old Lighthouse. If you are feeling fit you may choose to do the brisk walk to the lighthouse instead.

Stop At: Boulders Beach Penguin Colony, Simon's Town 7995 South Africa
We stop off at the Cape of Good Hope for some pictures and then we exit the park to our next stop at Boulders Beach where we visit the African Penguin Colony.
We continue on to Simonstown to learn about Just Nuisance, the most famous dog in the Royal Navy during the early 1940s.

Stop At: Chapman's Peak Drive, Hout Bay Road Between Noordhoek and Hout Bay, 7872 South Africa
We then return to the hotel via the spectacular Chapmans Peak Drive with great views over Hout Bay. We will stop for a photo opportunity with beautiful views over Hout Bay and Hout Bay Habour

Day 3: Cape Town City Tour

Today we will take the Cableway to the top of Table Mountain (weather permitting).

A historical City Tour through the old part of Cape Town.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Robben Island Museum, Cape Town Central 7400 South Africa
You have a choice this afternoon to either go to Robben Island World Heritage Site or explore the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront before going back to your hotel.
Duration: 3 hours

Day 4: Cape Town - Stellenbosch

Stop At: KWV Wine Emporium, Kohler Street AJ du Toit Building, Paarl 7646 South Africa
This morning we check out of the hotel and drive to the Paarl Wine Region where we do a Cellar Tour and a wine tasting at the historical KWV Cellar. KWV celebrated their centenary in 2018 and this wine cellar covers an area of over 50 acres.

Stop At: Fairview Wine and Cheese, Suid Agter Paarl Road, Suider Paarl, Paarl 7624 South Africa
From KWV we go to Fairview Wine Estate for a Wine & Cheese Pairing of eight of their award winning wines and cheese varieties all of which are manufactured on the estate. If you wish to stop for lunch after all the cheese, you may enjoy a light lunch at the Goatshed Bistro next to the tasting room.

Stop At: Reyneke Wines, Old Polkadraai Rd, Stellenbosch, 7600, South Africa
From Fairview we go to Reyneke Wines which is a fully organic wine farm to taste their wines and then proceed on to Stellenbosch to check in at your hotel. This afternoon and evening you may explore the historical town of Stellenbosch and dine in one of the fine restaurants.

Day 5: Stellenbosch - Hermanus

Stop At: Walker Bay Nature Reserve, Greater Hermanus, Hermanus, Overstrand South Africa
After breakfast, we check out and drive through the scenic Franschhoek Wine Region crossing over the mountains along the Franschhoek Pass going down to the Southern Coast to Hermanus located on the Whale Coast.
Hermanus is recognized as one of the premier shore-based whale viewing areas in the world. This afternoon you can explore the Hermanus Whale Walk on top of the 30 meter high cliffs to view the Southern Right Whales as they come into the base of the cliffs bordering Walker Bay. 
Relax over a scrumptious dinner tonight in one of the fine restaurants while you enjoy the magnificent sunset over Walker Bay.

Day 6: Hermanus

Stop At: Whale Watching · Dyer Island Cruises™, 5 Geelbek St, Van Dyks Bay, Gansbaai, 7220, South Africa
Today we explore the Ocean. We join the crew at Dyer Island Cruises for the Marine Big Five tour to find the beautiful marine creatures.
Visit their African Penguin rehab centre to learn about their successful conservation program.
In the afternoon you may either relax in Hermanus which is recognized as one of the best land-based whale viewing spots in the world.

Day 7: Hermanus - Oudtshoorn

Stop At: De Zeekoe Farm, Oudtshoorn 6620 South Africa
We check out of our lodge after breakfast and travel to the region known as the Little Karoo. This is home to the Ostrich Industry in South Africa.
This afternoon you will do a tour on the Safari Ostrich Showfarm to learn more about these amazing birds.
We check in late in the afternoon at our lodge, De Zeekoe, which is located on the adjoining farm producing the key fodder used for feeding the ostriches, Lucerne also known as Alfalfa.

Stop At: Safari Ostrich Show Farm, R328 Road 6 KM From Oudtshoorn Towards Mossel Bay, Oudtshoorn 6620 South Africa

Day 8: Oudtshooorn - Tsitsikamma

Stop At: Meerkat Magic, Scenic Cape Route 62, Oudtshoorn 6620 South Africa
It is an early call this morning in order to travel to the Meerkat den and be in position by sunrise as the cute little Meerkats (Suricate) emerge from their den a short while after sunrise.
We only observe the Meerkats going about their morning rituals and we do not interfere or interact with them directly. They may come very close to us because we are seen as part of the landscape which the Meerkats discovered upon emerging from their den this morning.

Stop At: The Cango Caves, 328 Approximately 30km (19 miles) from town on the R, Oudtshoorn 6625 South Africa
Situated 29km from Oudtshoorn, at the head of the picturesque Cango Valley, lies the spectacular underground wonder of the Klein Karoo - the Cango Caves.
Cango Caves is the only show cave in Africa which offers a choice of Heritage (easy) or Adventure Tours. All tours are lead by experienced, knowledgeable and accredited Caves Guides

This morning we join Tsitsikamma Canopy Tours for a great adventure and do the acclaimed Tree Top Canopy Tour in the indigenous coastal forest.

Stop At: Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre, Forest Hall Road, The Crags, Plettenberg Bay 6602 South Africa
We take the short drive to Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Center where we do the Wildcat Tour.
Both Tsitsikamma Canopy Tours and Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Center are FAIR TRADE ACCREDITED and they do sterling work to uplift the community and to preserve our environment.

Depending on your interest, we could spend the afternoon hiking along the coastline of Tsitsikamma National park rather than visiting Monekyland and Birds of Eden.

Day 10: Tsitsikamma - Addo Elephant National Park

Stop At: Port Elizabeth Beach, Port Elizabeth South Africa
We have an early breakfast and drive to the historical city of Port Elizabeth en route to Addo Elephant Park. We do an orientation tour of Port Elizabeth

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Addo Elephant National Park, R335 Paterson Road, Addo, 6105, South Africa
We ensure that we arrive at Addo Elephant Park in time for lunch and we check in to our chalets after lunch. I the afternoon we head into the National Park to view the wild animals in the indigenous Addo Bush till the park closes at sunset.
This evening you may enjoy a dinner at the Park Steakhouse Restaurant and then drift down to the floodlit waterhole to view the animals coming in to drink water.

Day 11: Addo Elephant National Park

Stop At: Addo Elephant National Park, R335 Paterson Road, Addo, 6105, South Africa
Today you will view the wild animals in their natural habitat. You go out early for the morning Game Drive returning for a late breakfast.
We return to the Addo Rest Camp during the middle of the day and then you do the evening Game Drive returning at sunset in time for you to have dinner and relax at the waterhole again.

Day 12: Addo Elephant Park - Port Elizabeth Airport

We return in time for breakfast and your Safari ends after breakfast when you check out of the Chalet.

Transfer from Addo to the Port Elizabeth Airport and drop off.
