Music festivals like ILLfest are eagerly awaited by Electronic Music enthusiasts. Not only does the ILLfest serve up the biggest names in electronic music, but it also looks and feels amazing!!! It’s a weekend of reality-bending, mind-blowing thrills for creative folks and artists. They’ll get to enjoy absolute freedom to unleash their wildest ideas and biggest dreams into the actual world. A small but power-packed event, ILLfest has already earned a reputation for providing highly charged, immersive experiences that you won’t find anywhere else.
What is ILLFest?
ILLFest will see over 50 electronic artists and 30,000 sq. ft. of street art come together at the Travis County Expo Center in Austin, TX. Texas’ ILLfest has grown in recent years from humble beginnings and a passion for dance music to become a must-attend event for electronic music fans across the state. The organizers of the two-day event, which will take place September 17-18 in Austin, have been progressively expanding the event over the years, overcoming numerous obstacles along the way. ILLfest 2022 is set to be Texas’ best summer festival, with a stellar lineup.
ILLFest 2021 was postponed because the Austin City Council decided to cancel all events planned at the Travis County Expo Center to utilize the venue for COVID-related measures. Since the organizers didn’t find alternative venues, they postponed ILLfest until February 18th and 19th, 2022.
When is ILLfest this year?
ILLFest will be on Friday, February 18, 2022, and Saturday, February 19, 2022.

ILLFest tickets are available on their official website. We strongly recommend that you buy your tickets from the official website and not from scalpers.

Music lovers attending IllFest in Austin are in for a treat this year with headliners like Kaskade, who’ll also be performing one of his famous Redux sets, as well as the occasional super-duo that is RL Grime b2b Baauer.

The Travis County Expo Center’s official website claims that they offer paved parking for 4,000 automobiles onsite. But, we couldn’t find a way to book parking in advance. Minimum Age Requirements
Unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, all attendees must be 18 years old. A state-issued or government-issued identification card is necessary at the time of admittance. You must also be 21 years or older and possess a valid government-issued identification to purchase or drink alcohol.
Guidelines for Health and Safety at ILLfest 2022
- In the event of an emergency, please contact the nearest staff member for assistance. Onsite medics are adequately ready to handle any situation. Our team is available to assist you!
- The festival takes place in part outdoors. Please dress appropriately for the weather. This includes comfortable walking and dancing shoes, as well as any appropriate layers. Keep an eye on the weather report when we get to the week of the show.
- Take note of the locations of exits, information points, first aid zones, and water refill stations.
- Kindly cooperate with personnel, security, and law enforcement. They are here to ensure that everyone has a nice time.
- Please drink sensibly, and also make arrangements for sober transport home. Ideally, designate a driver. DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.
- Consume plenty of water and electrolytes to stay hydrated.
- While security will be present, ILLfest is not responsible for lost or stolen property. The best rule of thumb is to bring only the bare necessities.
- Lockers will be available for a modest cost onsite; however, we cannot promise they will be large enough to safeguard your entire things.
