94th Aero Squadron, 1395 NW 57th Ave

At Miami’s 94th Aero Squadron, you can listen to air traffic control and watch planes take off while eating delicious seafood such as shrimp scampi, Cajun-seared scallops, and Mediterranean Branzino. In its 200-seat dining area, this restaurant also serves a Champagne Sunday Brunch.  

At $35.95 per person (and $17.95 for children), you can stuff yourself with omelets, crab legs, waffles, and plenty of champagne. After dining here, you’re probably ready for a nap, and there’s no better place to do it than on the plane. 

Bulla Gastrobar, Downtown Doral and Ponce de Leon, Coral Gables 

Doral is only a few miles west of the airport. There’s also another outlet of theirs 10 minutes away at Coral. The Bulla Gastrobar is a popular modern Spanish tapas-style restaurant. For a vibrant, pleasant environment, the vast dining area has a huge central bar and an open kitchen.  

Cured meats, cheeses, tapas & raciones, seasonal delicacies, and huge platters are on the menu. Traditional tapas such as chicken croquetas, steamed octopus, patatas bravas, Spanish omelet, codfish fritters, and meatballs are recommended. The list is endless, which is a good thing. So bring a hungry crowd and be ready to eat. 

Tank Brewing Company, 5100 NW 72nd Ave A-1 

Perhaps you’re in the mood for a brew or two after a tiring journey. Tank Brewing Company is located in Doral and is a short distance from the airport. What makes it one of the best restaurants near Miami Airport are the more than ten different local beers on tap at any one time, including seasonal, small batch, and limited series selections, among others. But that’s not all, either.  

Live music, charity events, and even vinyasa yoga are all held inside this brewery, allowing you to feel grounded while becoming a bit tipsy at the same time. The food is prepared by the same people that created Twisted Fork Kitchen, and you can’t go wrong with candied pig belly, confit duck nachos, or sweet and delicious guava soy braised short ribs. 

Melreese Country Club Restaurant, 1802 NW 37th Ave

Only a few miles east of the airport’s perimeter is the Melreese International Links and Country Club. Take advantage of our golfing opportunities and stay for lunch at the restaurant overlooking the golf field. A broad choice of sandwiches, salads, entrees, and delectable appetizers are available at this location.  

Start with appetizers like jalapeño poppers or mozzarella sticks, and then choose from entrees such as a club sandwich, avocado tuna wrap, or a patty melt to complete your meal. Finally, remember to save space for dessert and indulge in an apple cobbler a la mode. 

Versailles Cuban Restaurant, 3555 SW 8th St 

Versailles is the place to go if you want to eat delicious Cuban food as often as possible while you’re in Miami. It’s not just one of the best restaurants near Miami Airport, it probably is one of the best Cuban restaurants in the city.  

There are also several Versailles outlets located within the airport. There’s also one in Little Havana, which comprises a bakery and a full-fledged restaurant that is now operating.  

No need to be concerned if you arrive a bit later than intended because the Calle Ocho flagship restaurant is open late (1 am on weekdays and 2:30 am on Friday and Saturday), which means you won’t be turned away. The finest way to start your weekend in Miami is with a cup of coffee, some pastelitos, and a Cuban sandwich!  

Rincon Criollo,  2601 NW 39th Ave 

Rincon Criollo is a Cuban cafe located just east of Miami International Airport that serves superb, no-frills Cuban food. Guests should arrive hungry and ready to indulge in their favorite Cuban staple or try something new. The vast menu includes everything from appetizers, salads, soups, and sandwiches to heartier seafood, chicken, hot dinners, and desserts and beverages.  

The shrimp creole enchilada, roasted pig lechon asado, and sautéed ground beef — picadillo a la criolla are among the restaurant’s most popular dishes. All entrees are served with a choice of three side dishes. Fried sweet plantains, rice, and black beans are some of our favorite side dishes. 

Madrid Tapas y Vino, 525 NW 42nd Ave 

This wine and tapas spot offers a flavor of Spain and live music regularly. The Madrid Tapas y Vino menu is pretty extensive, and happy hour is available on weekdays from 4 pm to 7 pm when all beverages are half price!  

From basic small plates to meat and cheese boards, sandwiches, and paellas, Madrid offers a hungry traveler everything. Also, the ambiance makes you feel as if you’ve been transported to another part of the continent. You may also indulge in sweet treats like Crema Catalana (a handmade form of creme brulee), almond pie, and a creamy and delectable egg flan while there.

Catch of the Day, 1050 NW 42nd Ave  

You’ll find it hard to leave this place and go catch your flight. Catch of the Day, located just two miles from the airport, is a hidden little tropical haven with a tiki-style bar, outdoor dining, and live music on Friday and Saturday nights.  

Catch of the Day is the place to go if you want stone crabs, snow crabs, a whole fried fish, or a lobster supper with butter. In addition, they’ve got a pretty decent selection of wines that go with their food. And that is what lands them firmly in our list of top 10 restaurants near Miami Airport.  

Basilico Ristorante, 5879 NW 36th St 

With a Latin flair, this family-run cafe serves up every manner of Italian cuisine. The seafood is fresh and served quickly and straightforwardly. Also, the pasta is excellent. If you can’t decide, go for the famous seafood linguine, flawlessly cooked pasta topped with mussels, clams, shrimp, and squid. If you can’t decide, go for the distinctive seafood linguine. Finish with one of the delicious homemade treats, such as tiramisu, which the chef recommends.
