The Name of the Airport
The Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport has been named after the celebrated civil-rights activist Thurgood Marshall . He was the 96th Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, serving from 1967 to 1991. He was also the first African-American to serve as a justice.
