There is much to know about the Bears, and if you are new to the NFL, this blog will help you with the basics. Read ahead for more details, including the Chicago Bears schedule, squad, coaching staff, tickets, and parking information.

Chicago Bears, aka ‘Da Bears’

Did you know the franchise’s original name was ‘Decatur Staleys‘? Even though the team was established in 1919, it joined the National Football League (NFL) in 1920. Also, they have been part of the National Football Conference (NFC) of the NFL since 1970. Until 2001 they were part of the NFC Central, but they are a member of the NFC North now.

Halas Hall in Lake Forest, Illinois, is the headquarters of the Bears. The HQ is named after its founder and longtime owner, George Halas. ‘Da Bears’ have a Super Bowl title, making it a total of nine NFL Championship triumphs. Apart from this, they have the greatest number of players as part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Also, no other team has more regular season wins than the Bears in NFL history.

Unfortunately, they do not have any title wins in recent years. So, this period makes up an unwanted chapter in the history of the Bears, who have more legacy than most NFL franchises. Watch this space for the latest Chicago Bears news.

Who is the coach of the Chicago Bears?

Matt Eberflus is the current Chicago Bears head coach. He joined the Bears in 2022, and it is his first stint as head coach. Virginia, who is the oldest primary owner of an NFL franchise, along with other heirs of George Halas, owns 80% of the team.

Aon Corp’s former chairman Pat Ryan and current director Andrew J McKenna own around 19.7% of the stocks; the rest are minimal shareowners.

What are the upcoming games for the Bears?

Then, in October, they have five games, starting with an away game against the New York Giants. Other fixtures in the same month include games with Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, and Washington Commanders.

How much are the Chicago Bears tickets?

Along with single-game tickets, there are different options to choose from. Hardcore fans have the choice of getting a season pass for games at the Chicago Bears’ home stadium. You can join the priority list if the season tickets are sold out.

The cost of single-game tickets varies depending upon the opposition and how closer you are to the playing field. For games against rivals, including the Green Bay Packers, tickets will be in high demand. So plan accordingly if you want to guarantee seats on game days.

You can expect average ticket charges to be between $90 to more than $600 for the upcoming home games. However, the expensive seats in the stadium offer the best views and come with other privileges too.

Apart from these, there are executive suites available for purchase. Some of these include access to Skyline Suites and BearsVIP SkyDeck. You can also get other VIP fan packages, including special access and food and beverage options.

Remember that mobile tickets are only accepted at the stadium for all games. Visit the official Bears website for more information about each kind of ticket and its charges. Ticket marketplaces like Ticketmaster also sell single-game tickets for the Chicago Bears home games.

Which is the home stadium of the Bears?

Currently, Soldier Field is where the Bears play their home games. Despite being the smallest stadium in the NFL regarding seating capacity, 61,500 Bears fans shouting at the top of their voice make up for a unique football experience.

Soldier Field has hosted the Chicago Bears’ home games since 1971. Apart from 2002, Da Bears have played all their home games at this venue. Soldier Field is a multi-purpose sporting facility; other tenants include Chicago Fire FC of Major League Soccer.

Operated by SMG, this venue is located at 1410 Special Olympics Drive. Soldier Field has hosted numerous sporting franchises in the past, including NCAA, CFL, WFL, and AFA teams. This venue was listed as a US Historical Landmark in 1987 and remained so until it was delisted in February 2006.

There are plans for developing a new stadium and training facility at Arlington Heights. The management started proceedings for acquiring land at the location in September 2021.

How to get to Soldier Field

Located in the southern part of Chicago, the stadium is surrounded by many places of historical importance. There are many ways to get to this part of town, including modes of public transit.

What are the cheap options for parking near Soldier Field?

People look at street parking as the cheaper choice for most events. Even though it is true, the availability and regulations for on-street parking can spell trouble at the end of the day.

But there are private parking garages surrounding Soldier Field that offers parking at lower prices compared to street and on-site parking facilities. These facilities also have added features unlike others and help you escape the heavy traffic.

Is there street parking near the Chicago Bears home stadium?

Yes. You can park at street spots located on East Solidarity Drive, South Columbus Drive, East 9th Street, South LaSalle Street, East Van Buren Street, and South Wabash Avenue. There are a few others, but most of the above locations are miles away from the stadium. So, you will need to find a better and more practical way for Chicago Bears parking.
