Who are the newest Dallas Cowboys players on the Ring of Honor? 

Former Safety Darren Woodson, inducted in November 2015, is the latest Dallas Cowboys player on the Ring of Honor. Drew Pearson, Larry Allen, and Charles Haley were inducted in 2011. The other recent inductees are The Triplets – Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, and Emmitt Smith.  

Officially, the Dallas Cowboys do not retire jersey numbers – though some are kept “inactive.” Instead, the Ring of Honor is permanently displayed at the Cowboys stadium, encircling the field. Mr. Cowboy Bob Lilly was the first to be inducted in 1975. Currently, there are 22 Ring of Honor members, including one head coach (Tom Landry), one general manager (Tex Schramm), and one executive (Gil Brandt). 

Where did the Cowboys play before moving to Arlington? 

The Dallas Cowboys joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1960. From the first season to 1971, Cotton Bowl in Dallas was the team’s home for eleven years. It is the only Cowboys home stadium within the city limits. They moved to the now-demolished Texas Stadium, just outside Dallas in Irving, in ’71 and stayed until 2008.  

When did the AT&T Stadium open? 

AT&T Stadium opened in 2009 but took its current name only before the 2013 NFL season. Before the naming rights were sold, it was simply called Cowboys Stadium. It is owned by the City of Arlington and incurred a final cost of $1.15 Billion! Fans nicknamed it Jerry’s World, as Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had envisioned the stadium as a multi-use entertainment destination.  

Dallas Cowboys played their first regular season home game at AT&T Stadium on September 20, 2009. Though the team lost to rivals New York Giants 33-31, the stadium set an NFL regular season game attendance record of 105,121.

What is the AT&T Stadium seating capacity? 

The Cowboys Stadium in Arlington is one of the largest NFL stadiums, with an official seating capacity of 80,000. However, with standing room, AT&T Stadium can accommodate over 100K guests – unofficially, it tops the list. Additional capacity is made possible by open areas behind the end zone seats. These are six elevated platforms connected by stairways, serving as Party Pass sections (standing room only).

Where is the NFL Dallas Cowboys stadium? 

Dallas Cowboys’ home field is in Arlington – a suburb of Fort Worth. AT&T Stadium is 15 miles east of Fort Worth and 20 miles west of downtown Dallas. Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is also 15 miles from the Cowboys Stadium. However, the stadium is within the Arlington Entertainment District – home to two theme parks, two professional sports teams (MLB’s Texas Rangres at Choctaw Stadium), multiple restaurants, shopping centers, live entertainment venues, and other popular attractions.

How to reach AT&T Stadium for Cowboys games? 

AT&T Stadium is at 1 AT&T Way, Arlington, TX. Taking the I-30 is the easiest way to reach the Dallas Cowboys home game by car. Look for signs on the highway and Arlington Entertainment District streets for directions to the stadium parking lots and game day traffic restrictions.

Public transportation is not recommended, though downtown Arlington is less than a mile away. However, you’ll find plenty of shuttles, taxis, and ride-sharing services to the Cowboys game today.  

  • Taxis drop-off and stage at the Miller LiteHouse entrance – off of Cowboys Way and North Collins Avenue. This is also the default post-game pick-up zone for other vehicles. 
  • The Rideshare Zone at AT&T Stadium for the 2022 NFL Season is Lot 15. 
  • Additionally, there are two-passenger drop-off zones near the stadium – Lot 1 on Randol Mill Road’s north side and Lot 6 on Cowboys Way’s south side. However, post-game pick-ups may not be available at these locations due to traffic.  
  • Multiple downtown restaurants provide round-trip shuttle services on Cowboys game days.  

Note: The free Arlington Trolley – Shuttle Service from entertainment district hotels to AT&T Stadium is unavailable on game days. 

How many entrance gates does AT&T Stadium have? 

Cowboys AT&T Stadium in Arlington has 10 gates – Entry A to Entry K. While gate opening times vary from event to event, the stadium’s two plazas, concourses, clubs, and suites open two hours before kick-off.  

  • A and K are at the northwest corner of the stadium. However, Entry K is for club and suite ticket holders only. All ticket-holders can enter via Gate A. 
  • Designated reserved ticket holders and club/suite level guests can use gates B, C, and D – adjacent to the East Plaza, and G, H, and J – adjacent to the West Plaza. 
  • Gates E and F on the stadium’s southeast corner are also club/suite entrances. 

How much do Dallas Cowboys tickets cost? 

Single-match ticket rates for upcoming Dallas Cowboys games at AT&T Stadium start at $30. After that, prices vary according to preferred seating type, add-ons like parking, and visiting team popularity.

What premium seating and facilities are available? 

AT&T Stadium has 10 exclusive clubs with 15K premium seats. Clubs remain open for up to one hour after the game ends. Additionally, there are 300 luxury suites available across Field, Hall of Fame, Owners Club Suites, Legends Club Suites, Silver Suite, Ring of Honor Suite, and Star Suite levels.

The Miller Lite Plaza on the stadium’s west side and the AT&T Plaza on the east open a couple of hours before kick-off. Fans enter the stadium through retractable glass doors from these outdoor plazas.

Dallas Cowboys Parking – Game Day at AT&T Stadium 

AT&T Stadium poses no parking challenges if you don’t mind spending close to $100 on premium parking on gamedays. But that doesn’t mean general parking is unavailable – it is, just a bit further away from the stadium. And, it costs as much as all-day parking at a privately-operated garage or surface lot in the neighborhood.

Overall, AT&T Stadium visitors have access to an estimated 20,000 parking spaces. Around 12,000 spots are available at the 15 on-site parking lots and another 12,000 around the Texas Rangers Ballpark nearby. AT&T Stadium lots are numbered, and the Choctaw Stadium lots are lettered.  

Plenty of additional spaces are available in the entertainment district and downtown Arlington parking lots – within a two-mile radius. Street parking is limited and not recommended on Cowboys game days.  

How can I book Dallas Cowboys parking? 

You can pre-book Dallas Cowboys parking at AT&T Stadium online. Game day parking is also available but limited. Season ticket holders will receive parking passes for a designated stadium lot; you will be directed to the lot by parking assistants at the stadium.

Premium parking – lots on the stadium perimeter – costs around $70 – $80 per game, based on season parking pass charges. Parking rates for special events like the Super Bowl have peaked at $990! Can I park an RV at AT&T Stadium on Cowboys game day? 

RV parking spots are available at Silver Lot 14 for $150. You can get your parking pass online or from the AT&T Stadium ticket office. Overnight parking is usually allowed; arrive around 8 AM on the day before the game and leave by 5 PM the day after.  

Note: There are no hookups for electricity or water in Silver Lot 14. A dump station is available on site. 

Any vehicle over 19 feet is considered oversized and only allowed in Lot 14. Buses can park in the reserved portion of Lot 15; you must have a valid bus parking pass. All other AT&T Stadium parking lots are for standard-sized vehicles only. 

Limousine parking pass holders park on Cowboys Way and Randol Mill Road; passengers are dropped off in Lot 1 or 6. 

Is ADA parking available for Dallas Cowboys home games? 

AT&T Stadium has ADA Parking, but the limited spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You’ll need a valid Cowboys parking pass and a state-issued disability license plate or placard to use these spots. 

Accessibility shuttles are also available from the parking lots to the Cowboys Stadium. You’ll find shuttles back to the parking lots near gates A, D, J, and G.  

Is tailgating allowed at Cowboys home games? 

Tailgating is permitted in the grassy areas around Dallas Cowboys parking lots 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15. You may occupy a maximum of one tailgating space – 9 ft. wide and 12 ft. from the rear of your parked vehicle.  

Note: Tailgating is not permitted in lots 3 and portions of lots 5, 8, and 9.  

Keep these Dallas Cowboys tailgating rules in mind: 

  • Do not use extra parking spaces for tents, grills, chairs, etc.  
  • You must have a valid parking pass to tailgate at the designated lot. 
  • Tailgating starts from the time parking lots open and ends two hours after the game concludes. 
  • Open flames, deep fryers, or any oil-based cooking is not permitted 
  • You can use charcoal or gas for cooking.
