Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat vs Demon
The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is, without a doubt, the quickest production-ready Dodge Challenger ever manufactured. Chrysler produced the Challenger Demon, but it is extremely rare and fetches a far greater premium on the used market than even the most expensive new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Super Stock.
Both of these high-performance vehicles have a 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8 engine, but the 2018 SRT Demon is the most powerful of the SRT Challenger lineup. The Demon muscle car, based on the Dodge Dart, was produced from 1970 to 1973, and its legacy lives on in the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon.

The base model 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat starts at $69,340, but if you want the most power out of a brand-new Challenger production car, you’ll need to shell out at least $93,335 for the top-tier Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Super Stock. The Hellcat Widebody, Redeye Widebody, and Jailbreak versions of the Challenger SRT Hellcat are in between these two versions.
A Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, if you can find one, will set you back anything from $120,000 to $250,000.

Specs and Performance
Muscle cars don’t get much better than the Dodge Challenger SRT lineup. SRT, which stands for “Street and Racing Technology,” is a performance trim level available on some models of Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, and Ram vehicles.
Muscle car owners want a vehicle that can hold its own on the dragstrip. Thus performance is a top priority. That’s why the quarter-mile and zero-to-60-mph times are so crucial when choosing between them.
According to various reports, the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody has a quarter-mile time of 11.8 seconds and a 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds. At that point, it was traveling at 125 mph, yet Dodge advertises a top speed of 203 mph for Hellcats. The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG can’t match the 3.6-second 0-60 time achieved for a Hellcat.

The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon was outlawed by the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) because it lacked a certified roll cage, as is required of all vehicles with quarter-mile timings under 10 seconds. Although the factory-rated top speed for a 2019 Dodge Demon is 168 mph, one that had its speed limiter lifted and had improved tires reached 211 mph.

The engines of these two Challengers are almost identical. Each Dodge Challenger SRT is propelled by a 6.2-liter V8 engine whose horsepower output is maximized with a supercharger.
Typically, a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat will have 717 hp. The SRT Super Stock engine generates 807 horsepower and 707 pound-feet of torque, while the Redeye model is rated at 797 horsepower.
An 808-horsepower and 717-pound-foot of torque can be coaxed from a 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon while running on 91-octane fuel. When running on 100 octane, its output rises to 770 lb-ft of torque and 840 hp, making it the highest-powered V8 production car in the world.
The SRT Demon version of the Dodge Challenger was only offered with an eight-speed automatic in 2018. The Hellcat models benefit greatly from the standard six-speed manual transmission. The only drivetrain option is rear-wheel drive.

Interior Features
Interior luxury has never really been a primary priority of Dodge’s speedsters. The Demon looks the same as any Dodge Challenger, except that the rear and front passenger seats were removed.
However, some Demons were supplied with a kit that brings the passenger seats back in—it cost an additional $1 per seat. Other added options that could be installed on an SRT Demon were a power sunroof, heated steering wheel, and heated/ventilated front seats.
