Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2023

The 97th edition of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade in New York will roll out on November 23, 2022. A lot of fun awaits those gearing up for this year’s parade, with exciting new floats and balloons joining crowd favorites from past years. Beginning at 9 am from Upper West Side, the parade traditionally moves south through Central Park West towards Herald Square, where the Macy’s Store is located. The 2023 parade kicks off from West 77th Street & Central Park West.

Midtown Manhattan streets are the default hosts for the grand event. The Central Park West public viewing spaces stretch from West 75th to West 61st Streets; no viewing between West 59th and West 60th. The marchers will head east on Central Park South from Columbus Circle and then turn south on 6th Avenue. Public viewing is not allowed at Columbus Circle, but you can catch great views from West 59th to West 38th Streets.

Public viewing is restricted on 6th Avenue, between West 34th and 38th Streets, and on West 34th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues. The parade makes its final turn on W 34th Street and heads west towards Macy’s at Herald Square.
