How many times have Golden State Warriors won NBA championships?

The Golden State Warriors now have seven championship titles after their 2022 win. The seven championships include the inaugural Basketball Association of America (BBA) finals win in 1947, which they played as Philadelphia Warriors. They also won the 1956 NBA World Championship Series under the same name.

After adopting their current geographic moniker, the team won the title in 1975. The next Golden State Warriors championships came only in 2015 and then consecutively, in 2017 and 2018. Finally, the San Francisco team won their seventh NBA Championship on June 16, 2022, beating the Celtics 4-2.

Golden State Warriors also hold seven NBA Western Conference titles and 12 Pacific Division titles.

What is the Golden State Warriors’ record?

For the 2021-22 NBA regular season, the Warriors finished third in the Western Conference with 53-29 (.646). They registered a 16-6 win-loss record for playoffs to take the winning percentage to .727.

Golden State Warriors’ all-time record for NBA regular season is 2879-3060 (.485); Playoffs – 206-165 (.555). The team set their best-ever regular season record in 2015-16 with 73-9 (.890).

Who are the most notable Golden State Warriors players?

Since 2009, the Warriors have been in their Stephen Curry era. Often dubbed “the greatest shooter of all-time,” Curry has racked up over 3,000 Three Pointers in his career and holds several NBA records. The 4x NBA Champion and 2022 NBA Finals MVP is already one of the most recognized players in basketball history.

Along with Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Andre Iguodala have won the four recent championships for Golden State Warriors. Additionally, 2x Finals MVP Kevin Durant signed up in 2016 and was a part of the 2017 and 2018 NBA champions teams.

Other notable players from Golden State Warriors history are Wilt Chamberlain, Nate Thurmond, Tim Hardaway, Chris Mullin, Neil Johnston, Paul Arizin, and Rick Barry.

Which bridge is featured on the Golden State Warriors logo?

Golden State Warriors – Golden Gate Bridge; it’s easy to make that connection. Good guess, but not for the current logo featuring the Bay Bridge.

The 2010 primary logo redesign is a nod to the team’s Bay Area heritage – the eastern span of the Bay Bridge in blue and circled in yellow, with the uniform numbers inside the circle. Interestingly, the ‘basketball’ itself is missing from the spotlight. Pretty unusual for NBA team logos, but you’ll catch it on some of the secondary Golden State Warriors logos.

Subtle changes were made to the primary logo in 2019, including a custom font. Six new jersey designs were also unveiled with the new logo. In addition, the team brought in the City Uniform for the 2020-21 NBA season, paying tribute to the We Believe era. And in the last season, the team’s 1961-62 road kit was revamped to reveal the Warriors Origins jersey to commemorate the franchise’s 75th anniversary.

Though the Golden State Warriors jerseys and logo have undergone several makeovers, the team has mostly kept to the yellow and blue color scheme.

Where do the Warriors play home games now?

Chase Center in San Francisco has been the Golden State Warriors’ new home since 2019. The 900 sq. ft. indoor arena owned by the team seats up to 18,064 for basketball. The Warriors played their first regular season game at Chase Center on October 24, 2019. But their first appearance on the new court was on October 5, 2019, for a preseason game against the Lakers.

The Golden State Warriors’ new home in Mission Bay is multi-layered. Apart from the arena, the complex also contains retail, office/lab, and recreation spaces. The on-site parking facility can accommodate up to 950 vehicles. Additionally, Chase Center is within an 11-acre leisure district filled with cafes and restaurants, public plazas, and a waterfront park. The Warriors’ practice facility – Oracle Performance Center – is also at this location.

Where did the Warriors play before moving to Chase Center?

The Warriors have called the Oakland Arena home for most of the franchise history. However, when the team was established in 1946, the Philadelphia Arena served as their first home till 1962. The Philadelphia Warriors also used the Philadelphia Convention Hall between 1952 and 1962.

The Warriors held most of their home games from 1962-64 and 1966-71 at Daly City’s Cow Place. They also played two NBA Final games in 1975 at this facility just south of San Francisco city limits. Between 1962-67, the War Memorial Gymnasium was used occasionally. In addition, San Francisco Civic Auditorium also hosted Warriors games between 1964 and 1966.

Although the Warriors’ home games were played at the Oakland Arena – also known as the Oakland Coliseum Arena/The Arena in Oakland/Oracle Arena – from 1971 to 2019, the San Jose Arena was briefly used as the alternative venue during renovation in 1996-97. During the 1971-72 season, the Golden State team also played six games at the San Diego Sports Arena.

But Golden State Warriors games are usually sellouts, and waiting for the price to drop is not a good move. Instead, compare multiple ticketing websites to find the best deal.

Is there parking at Chase Center?

You can park at one of the two on-site garages operated by Chase Center. However, Mercedes-Benz Garage and Warriors Way Garage have only a limited number of spots that usually cost close to $100 or more during Warriors games. So, you’ll need a pre-paid parking pass for these garages. You can book a spot online via the Warriors + Chase Center app or website.

  • Warriors Way Garage is at 150 Warriors Way (450 South Street)

Where can I find alternative parking near Chase Center?

Alternative garages and lots not operated by Warriors or Chase Center are available for parking near the arena. 1800 Owens Street and 19th Street/Illinois Street are the official recommendations for additional game day parking. If Oracle Park is not hosting an event, you can also try Lot A (74 Mission Rock St.).

Overall, parking in Mission Bay is limited during the Warriors games. Street closures and curb restrictions are placed closer to the event time. You might still find metered parking within walking distance if you arrive early enough. However, one missed sign and a San Francisco parking ticket might cost you more than garage space. And, here’s another reason to not leave your car on the street for long.

Pre-book a Mission Bay parking space to avoid the last-minute hassle and peak game day parking rates.
