Virtual claims are becoming more common, and the best car insurance companies have improved their ability to manage them. If you were in a car accident in the past, an adjuster would either come to your home, or you would go to a claims center to get the damage assessed. However, you might be able to complete the entire claims process from the comfort of your sofa if you have a smartphone.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, some of the best car insurance companies invested in virtual assist technology, and virtual claims have proven to be especially useful for maintaining a safe social distance.

Step by step process to file a virtual claim

You can compare car insurance or find results for the query ‘car insurance near me’ using the internet. In a similar vein, you can use the internet to file virtual claims. It’s a bright idea to go to your insurer’s website to download their mobile app if you haven’t already. Many of these applications will guide you through the entire insurance claim process.

Suppose a tree branch falls on your car, or you get into a parking lot, fender bender. In that case, you can use your insurer’s mobile app to upload pictures of the damage, get a repair estimate, and have a premium payment deposited in your bank account or through the app.
