Kia EV6 is an indication that the electric future is going to be bright. The EV6 is a representation of the brand’s evolution and future potential.¬†Kia could have taken the easy way out with its first dedicated electric vehicle (EV) platform designed from scratch. Toyota, Subaru, and Volkswagen, to name a few, were ahead of the pack with remarkably basic crossovers. However, Kia took a riskier approach with the EV6. It has an aggressive, sporty appearance.¬†

Kia EV6 is the brand’s EV face and what it means for the future. Way’s Kia EV6 Review will explain different aspects of the vehicle. The Kia EV6 Review explains how the EV performs in different sectors. Kia’s new series of electric vehicles are branded with an “EV,” and the EV6 is placed sixth in a range from one to nine. The EV6 has several characteristics of a crossover, such as higher ground clearance. It boasts the aerodynamic front end of a sedan, the hatchback back, and the aggressive aesthetic characteristics of a sports car.¬†

Kia EV6- Driving Experience

Incredibly, the Kia EV6 is both fun to drive and highly capable. The same physical problem plagues every electric vehicle. Due to their battery packs, electric vehicles are significantly heavier than conventional internal combustion engine vehicles. Indeed, the EV6 weighs as much as a full-size truck, yet its size and weight are not noticeable while driving. When cornering at high speeds on a broad track, the car maintains an impressive level of stability and composure.

The controls are responsive and precise. It is easy to pick up speed. The regenerative braking system, which can be adjusted in a variety of ways, is also among the easiest and least noticeable of any EV. The tires could have been slightly grippier.

Kia EV6- Power

The Wind (RWD) EV6 has 225 Horsepower & 258 lb-ft. of Torque and a 77.4 kWh Battery w/ up to 310 Miles of EPA-Estimated Range. The Wind(e- AWD) has 320 Horsepower & 446 lb-ft. of Torque and a 77.4 kWh Battery w/ up to 282 Miles of EPA-Estimated Range. GT-Line (RWD) has 225 Horsepower & 258 lb-ft. of Torque and a 77.4 kWh Battery w/ up to 310 Miles of EPA-Estimated Range. When set to sport mode, the e-AWD system generates 320 horsepower and 446 lb-ft of torque. GT-Line (e-AWD) has 320 Horsepower & 446 lb-ft. of Torque and a 77.4 kWh Battery w/ up to 252 Miles of EPA-Estimated Range. GT (e-AWD) has 576 Horsepower & 545 lb-ft. of Torque and a 77.4 kWh Battery w/ up to 206 Miles of EPA-Estimated Range.

The 320hp GT-Line has a lot of power for an EV. It can go from ‚ÄĒ 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The 576-horsepower GT delivers on the promise of its name, reaching 60 miles per hour in 3.2 seconds during our testing. The top-tier performance model boasts upgrades, including an electronic limited-slip differential, tighter chassis tuning, an adaptive suspension, and beefier brakes. That’s money well spent, as it brings the car to life and provides some additional all-weather capability, as well as a heat pump to mitigate the negative effects of cold on the range.¬†

Kia EV6- Interiors

Kia EV6 interior has ample cabin space. The cabin is also relatively quiet during driving. The seats are foldable for utility purposes. The Kia GT’s inside has been upgraded with sports seats and neon green accents to reflect the vehicle’s sportier character.¬†The climate control and stereo buttons are located on a touch-sensitive bar. The temperature knob and the volume knob are integrated into one. A futuristic vision of what EVs will look like in a decade or so when electric cars are just cars¬†

Kia EV6- Safety and Driver-Assistance Features

  • Standard blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert¬†
  • Standard adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist¬†

Kia EV6- Range

As the Kia EV6 is an electric vehicle, we must discuss its driving range. The EPA rates the EV6’s maximum range as 310 miles with rear-wheel drive and 274 miles with all-wheel drive. Due to the increased power consumption required to propel the GT, its estimated range has been reduced to 206 miles per charge, down significantly from the 310-mile maximum range of the most efficient variant. The EV6 packs an advanced 800-volt charging infrastructure. The manufacturer says a 350 kW fast charger can extend the car’s range by 180 miles in just 15 minutes. Also, the EV6 features V2L (vehicle-to-load) capacity, which allows it to send power back out¬†

Kia EV6- Charging

The EV6 can use either 400v or 800v DC fast chargers thanks to its adaptable technology. Wind and GT-Line RWD can be charged to a maximum of 217 miles in around 18 minutes using an 800v DC fast charger.

The EV6 gives you the option to travel far. Travel far and wide without worrying about recharging with the EPA-estimated 310-mile range of the Wind RWD and GT-Line RWD. The Kia Connect app or the EV6’s 12.3-inch touchscreen display makes it simple to locate charging stations and check on the vehicle’s charging progress. If you have a Level 2 home charger (240v), you can charge your EV6 rapidly while you sleep. By purchasing a Level 2 charger from your neighborhood Kia dealer and downloading the Kia Connect app, you’ll be able to monitor your battery life, schedule charging sessions, and pre-condition the cabin of your EV6. With the included 1,000 kWh of Electrify America charging credits, the EV6 can travel between 3,000 and 3,500 miles without paying for gas.¬†

Kia EV6- Price

The price starts at $48,500 for the Wind(e-AWD), $52,700 for the GT-Line(RWD), $ 57,400 for GT-Line(AWD), and $61,400 for the GT(e-AWD) model.

Kia EV6- Target customers

Kia predicts that the EV6’s target market will consist of financially secure millennials and Gen Xers who are interested in purchasing their first electric vehicle.¬†It would be handy for families with two cars. It has enough space inside for five adults and their luggage or children in car seats. This Kia EV6 Review has listed out how the Kia EV6 performs in various aspects.
