What will life be like after coronavirus?

The outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is something that the world was not ready for, nor expecting. No one imagined that a viral infection, whose origin started in the Chinese town of Wuhan, would turn out to be a global pandemic. The impact, however, was far severe with more than 7.6 million people confined to their homes. The aftereffects of coronavirus (COVID-19), its subsequent consequences on the international market, and whether a global recession will follow, is of least concern for the time being. What matters today however is – how we can contain the spread, stabilize the infrastructure, and prepare for the worst until normalcy returns!

How many more days will we be restricted to our homes? When can we walk the streets without fear of being infected with a deadly person to person transmittable coronavirus? The answer is – we still don’t know! All we can do now is hope that the light at the end of the tunnel is within reach, and try to stay safe at home.

Life after coronavirus

Covid19 Wash Hands

Life as you knew it will never be the same again. When normalcy does return, we are going to witness a society that has unlearnt, and replaced old habits with new ones. The main thing that COVID-19 cases has taught is making sure people understand the importance of maintaining good hygiene. We have come a long way from being carefree about hygiene to having hand sanitizers on the goWe are evolving into a society that knows the importance of being healthy. People have also started accepting this new but ever-changing reality. We now have the patience to analyze the present situation with a clear head. Howverit’s not just normal day to day life that is bound to change, all major sporting events like NBA and MLB, concerts, entertainment gigs, festivals, and even religious celebrations have either been cancelled, or postponed indefinitely to avoid public gatherings. This in turn suggests that live events will probably not start up again until winter, which is generally the off-season for most events. Even though many events are canceled and postponed, most people accepted the reality and complied by staying away without complaints. Don’t be too sad though! Most of these events will be rescheduled at a later date. Youll still get to go to your favorite concerts and sporting events, so make sure to have your WayPass subscriptions ready to enjoy the events at New York City, San Francisco, and Los Angeles once the dust settles.

Things to look forward to

While it’s too early to predict when normalcy will return, millions of medical staff, federal agencies, and security forces are going all out to ensure that case counts are lowered, and less people test positive. With most of the affected countries currently locked down, we have reasons to be optimistic that normalcy will return by August. Apart from sports and music, several festivals like the St. Patrick’s Day known for their famous pub-crawls have also been postponed indefinitely. However, few more of the popular events, like the Broadway Theatre shows, are set to return as early as May if the situation improves by then. Some of the other main events set for revised dates include the Boston Marathon, and the Paley Fest 2020 Los Angeles. Regardless of whether the postponed events begin soon or not, it is best to take things slowly, and wait out the pandemic. Stay safe until we get the allclear that COVID-19 is gone for good. Follow the websites of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control for updated and authentic information on the status of COVID-19 cases.
