Fourth of May 2021 is almost upon us, and unlike ever before, all of us really need the force with us, more than ever. As we slowly combat the deadly threat of coronavirus COVID-19, by staying indoors for as much as possible, it is equally important to stay active and engaged. What better way to remain productive than to make plans and think up amazing ideas on how to safely celebrate Star Wars Day on May 4 at home. While you can opt and choose from numerous other options to make your Star Wars Day fun and exciting, consider these tips for some easy things to do during the fourth of May. If you are someone, who like me, prefers the dark side over the Jedi Order, consider preparing for Revenge of the Fifth or Sixth on May 5, and 6. Whatever side you pick, choose wisely, and young padawan, May the Force Be with You throughout this hard time.
Host or Join a Watch Party
Unless you are someone who has a very good memory, remembering all the episodes of Star Wars could be a bit difficult. Unlike regular movie series, the entire Star Wars franchise follows an entirely different chronological pattern in the way the movies came out. Connecting everything together to complete the whole Skywalker Saga can be tiring on your own, as lots of things happen across the episodes, and you could quickly lose track of some of these events. An excellent way to help solve this problem is to host or join a Star Wars watch party on the 4th of May. You know what’s even better? Having a Disney+ subscription or maybe have a friend who has one join the watch party! Why? Because Disney has announced that the final part of the nine-episode Skywalker Saga – The Rise of Skywalker, which was released in 2019, will be available to stream on Disney+ starting from the 4th of May. Prepare those bean bags and popcorns, and maybe grab some cold drinks to chill out with your friends for an online movie gathering.
Choose Your Side for the Galactic Trivia
A trivia or quiz featuring questions from the galactic adventures of the Jedis, Resistance, Skywalkers, Hutts, or even Snap Wexley. From your favorites to those you despised, brush up your Star Wars knowledge and take on the Galactic Trivia. What’s better, you can split up into two groups and fight it out for control of the galaxy, with the winners declared as the rulers of Coruscant. With online platforms providing more than adequate facilities to host such tournaments, it would be a fun way to spend quality time with your family. Choose your sides wisely and represent either the warriors of peace – The Jedi Order and be a great general like Obi-Wan Kenobi, or join the Siths – To be a supreme leader like Darth Vader. Let your knowledge be your shield and quick answers your light sabers that guide you to a win. In Master Yoda’s words, “Do or do not. There is no try.”
Cook Star Wars Recipes (Even the Blue Milk)
Admit it, you have always wanted to try the Blue Milk, which was found across most of the planets (now found on Earth at Galaxy’s Edge in Disney). The protein and vitamin-rich Blue Milk, also known as the Bantha Milk or Tatooine Milk, is refreshing and sweet milk extracted from a female Bantha’s mammary glands. The official website of Star Wars features an entire recipe book of Star Wars dishes, which lets you find suitable alternatives to prepare these on Earth. From Yoda Pancakes to Lightsaber Waffles, and Sith Trooper Root Beer Floats, the options are endless. Try some of these unique recipes to enjoy with the family on May the Fourth.
The Force is Weak without a Cosplay
Celebrating a Star Wars Day without dressing up as your favorite Star Wars character is like the icing on the cake for Star Wars Day celebrations. While it will be challenging to dress up as Darth Vader or Kylo Ren without going out to purchase some costumes, you can still dress-up as Anakin Skywalker or Ben Solo. It’s as simple as just having some black colored clothes or hoodies. Some of the other favorite characters like Leia, Rey, Han Solo, and Luke, etc. wear costumes that are literally there in almost all of the wardrobes in the country. To further help you cosplay better, there are literally hundreds of Do it Yourself (DIY) tutorials available on YouTube that’ll help you create Star Wars costumes without breaking much sweat. Some of these tutorials even show you how to make much more advanced costumes like Darth Vader/Darth Maul, and of Chewbacca. If you are running short on supplies, head out to the stores and stock up on some extra materials to start working on your DIY project.
