  • Ndamukong Suh, a defensive tackle, signed a contract with the Miami Dolphins for more than $114 million in 2015. This made Suh the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history. Currently, he plays for the Tampa Buccaneers. 
  • Dan Marino, a quarterback, was a Dolphin for 17 years (1983–1999) 
  • The team has three retired uniform numbers: 12, 13, and 39, those of Bob Griese, Dan Marino, and Larry Csonka, respectively. 

Who is the fins’ head coach?

Mike McDaniel is the head coach of the Dolphins. He’s been with the team since February 2022. An offensive-minded coach, McDaniel led his team to a thumping 20-7 victory over the New England Patriots, marking his first win in his new role as head coach

The home ground of the Miami Dolphins is the Hard Rock Stadium, originally opened to the public in 1987 as Joe Robbie Stadium. However, the fins’ home ground has donned many other names like Pro Player Park, Pro Player Stadium, Dolphins Stadium, Dolphin Stadium, Land Shark Stadium, and Sun Life Stadium across the years. It got its present name after the restaurant giant Hard Rock Café Inc. purchased the naming rights from the Dolphins in August 2016.  

The Stadium has also undergone several renovations, including several design modifications, including a canopy over the seating bowl, huge video walls replacing seats on all corners of the upper seating bowl, and the seat colors changed from orange to aqua.

The Hard Rock stadium sits in a place called Miami Gardens, which is about 15 miles away from downtown Miami. We recommend you get on to the venue in a car via Florida’s Turnpike, a road that connects the south of the Stadium with Interstate 95. Once you exit the Turnpike, you’ll have to enter the Stadium Toll Plaza and turn right onto NW 199th Street, a.k.a Dan Marino Boulevard, where the Stadium will be on your right. 

You can also hop on to a $10 transit shuttle connecting the Hard Rock Stadium with major points like Fort Lauderdale, South Beach, and Downtown Miami.
