So, get your planners out – here’s the NBA schedule 2023-2024 season and all you need to know about the games.

The National Basketball Association (NBA) announced the regular season schedule for 2023-2024 on August 17, 2023. The games begin in October 2023 and conclude in April 2024. The first game of the season will see Lakers host Denver Nuggets- the 2023 champions. In the second game on opening day, Phoenix Suns will face off against Golden State Warriors.

Mexico City and Paris are hosting the NBA Global Games this year. International pre-season games are taking place in Abu Dhabi (2 games), Vancouver, Madrid, Toronto and Montreal. Sacramento, Denver, San Antonio, Chicago, Boston, Minneapolis and many other cities will also host pre-season games in October. Like last year’s NBA schedule – there’ll be no games on Election Day – Tuesday, November 7. Instead, all teams will play on November 8 and help promote voter participation and awareness.

The 2023-2024 season also marks the eighth year of a nine-year broadcasting deal with NBA TV, TNT, ABC, and ESPN. So look out for NBA vs. NFL on Christmas Day this year – there’s a football tripleheader ready to compete for rankings. There are many exciting matchups and 11 nationally-televised NBA Rivals Week games from Tuesday, January 23 to Saturday, January 27, 2024. The All-Star Game is on February 18, and the NBA Playoffs start on April 20.

Is game day parking available at NBA Arenas?

Official parking is usually available at all NBA Arenas hosting regular season games. Most stadiums and venues have on-site parking lots – you can check the respective team websites for more details on parking availability and rates. However, only a few NBA arenas offer affordable parking. Depending on the game’s popularity, you’ll spend a lot on game-day parking – especially if venue parking is limited. But there is a Way out!

An NBA game might not last longer than a few hours, but watching it at the arena is a huge plus. You’ll have to allow a couple of hours before and after the game for a hassle-free experience. If parking at the venue, you might spend some time waiting to enter the parking lot, even with a pre-booked game-day parking pass. But you don’t have to – pre-book your NBA game day parking at an off-site garage nearby. It’s cheaper and saves a lot of time too.

How to find alternative parking for NBA games?

Most garages around NBA arenas offer special game day parking rates and discounts. You’ll quickly find these online. Download a parking app to make it easier.

Park away from the arena to skip the crowds and save more on parking. Walking a few blocks will save you more than 50% on game-day parking expenses. Another trick is to book your spot near the NBA arena in advance. Drive-up rates are likely to shoot up on the game day – by pre-booking your spot using an app or parking website, you’ll get a guaranteed space for the lowest rate.
