Is parking free in NYC on New Year’s Eve?

New Year’s Eve 2022-23 is not a parking holiday in NYC.

Jan 1, Sunday, is however, a Major Legal Holiday and Alternate Side Parking is suspended. Which means that “stopping, standing, and parking are permitted except in areas where stopping, standing and parking rules are in effect seven days a week (for example, “No Standing Anytime”). Accordingly, parking meters will not be in effect on major legal holidays.”

Yes, unless it is a Major Legal Holiday. New Year’s Eve 2022 – 23 (Saturday) is not a parking holiday in NYC.
