Figuring out Pasadena overnight parking won’t take up much of your time. There’s just one rule – keep your cars off the street between 2 am and 6 am if you do not have a permit. So, where can you find affordable parking spots for the night? Here’s all you need to know about Pasadena parking rules, permits, and deals for hassle-free overnight parking in the city.

City of Pasadena parking is mostly trouble-free during the day. But past midnight, parking your car on the streets without a permit is a huge gamble. The Pasadena overnight parking ban has been around since 1921. An amendment in 1948 set the current restricted time between 2 am and 6 am. Later, the city introduced overnight parking permits in 1971. Since then, although the city council has reviewed the ban twice, the rule remains unchanged to date. Apart from encouraging off-street parking, the overnight parking restriction also helps crime detection, facilitates street sweeping, and identifies abandoned vehicles. The ban is in effect throughout the year, except for about ten days during the holidays.

Unless otherwise announced or noted on signs posted on the streets, these rules remain unchanged.
