The Tacoma is one of the most popular models in the US, and if you’ve been driving one for quite some time, you might have seen the maintenance light illuminate at certain intervals. Read this article to figure out how to reset a Toyota Tacoma maintenance light.

Dashboards of cars usually have an array of lights that confuse users about which light means what and what to do when one gets illuminated. They can get illuminated for various minor and major reasons such as oil change due, check engine, etc.

Toyota cars differ from others by having a maintenance light on the dashboard, which illuminates the words MAINT REQD. However, this is not something to be worried about as it just indicates that periodic maintenance is due for the car. You may refer to the vehicle owner’s manual to determine the exact service intervals of your car and determine if the maintenance light has been illuminated at the right time.

Mostly this illumination indicates that an oil change is due on your car. So, if you’ve performed an oil change, then follow these steps to reset your Toyota Tacoma’s maintenance light.
