The rinseless car wash is an excellent option if you’re looking for an effective way to clean your vehicle at home. Using the rinseless car wash method, you can save gallons of water – a great advantage, especially if you are living in an area with restricted access to water. What’s more, if done with care, a rinseless car wash can give you a scratch-free finish in no time. In this post, we’re breaking down the process for an effective rinseless car wash. Keep reading to know more.

What is a rinseless car wash?

A rinseless car wash is a combination of the traditional hand car wash and waterless car wash method. In a rinseless car wash, vehicle owners can simply wipe off the wash solution after applying it – instead of rinsing the car again. What’s more, rinseless car wash products are heavily lubricated and can effectively remove light dirt and grime on your car’s exterior. However, we’d recommend you not to use the rinseless car wash method if your car’s body is covered with thick dirt and mud.

Things you’ll need

  • Buckets
  • Rinseless car wash solution
  • Microfiber towels or wash mitts
  • Spray bottle

Step 1

Before you begin the car wash process, assess the condition of the car to decide if it needs a pre-wash. If you find noticeable dirt on the car, pre-wash your vehicle with water to loosen the dirt.

Step 2

You can use the two-bucket method to apply the rinseless car wash solution onto the car’s exterior. Fill one bucket with the rinseless car wash solution and another bucket with water. Also, fill the spray bottle with the rinseless car wash solution.

Step 3

After pre-washing your vehicle, spray the rinseless car wash solution on the panel you’ll be working on. Car wash experts recommend you divide the car into different panels and work on one panel at a time. By following this technique, you can prevent water spots.

Step 4

Now, dunk the wash mitt or a microfiber towel into the rinseless car wash solution bucket and wipe the panel clean. Remember not to apply too much pressure while doing it. Once you’re satisfied with the work, use another microfiber towel to dry the panel. Repeat the same steps to clean all the panels.

You can use the rinseless car wash method to quickly prep your car for an auto detailing process or if you live in an apartment with limited access to water. However, if your car is covered with thick road grime and dirt, we’d recommend you visit an automatic car wash near you.
