Book Queens Night Market Parking

How Old Is the Queens Night Market?

The Queens Night Market founder John Wang launched the seasonal outdoor event in April 2015 with just 40 vendors. Today, the popular night market has grown to feature almost 100 vendors per season.

The event, now in its eighth season, has been held yearly since 2015 – except in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. It resumed in June 2021 with ticketed entry and strict public health regulations. Season 6 in 2021 returned to the original format with free entry.

How Long Does the Queens Night Market Run?

The Queens Night Market runs every Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight from April through October. The market is closed during the US Open Tennis Championships, typically in late August and early September.

The ongoing Season 8 of the market in 2023 is from April 15 to August 19 and September 16 to October 28.

When Is the Next Event?

The next Queens Night Market date is September 23, 2023. You can also plan your visit every Saturday after that until October 28, 2023, when the season concludes with a Halloween-themed market.

Where Is It Held?

The Queens Night Market venue is 47-01 111th Street in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, behind the New York Hall of Science. Use the map below for directions:

How to Get There?

If you take the subway, the 7 train stops at 111th Street station. The Queens Night Market entrance is four blocks from the station. If you are arriving by car, make sure to check out Flushing Meadows parking options before you leave.

Do You Need a Ticket for Queens Night Market?

Admission to the Queens Night Market is free, and it is open to all ages. However, in previous years, the market has sold tickets for sneak preview events and during times of high demand.

How Much Does the Food and Merch Cost?

Queen Night Market initially had a $5 cap on all food sales, which has increased to $6 recently.

On average, the food vendors make around $3000/night, while the art and other merch sell for around $1000/night. So, depending on how much you can eat and drink, expect to spend at least $10-$20 per person.

Can You Bring Alcohol into Queens Night Market?

Outside alcohol is not allowed into the market. Visitors must show ID and get a wristband or stamp to buy alcohol inside the market.

What Is the Best Time to Go to the Night Market?

The best time to go to the Queens Night Market is right when it opens at 5:00 p.m. This is when the crowds are the smallest and the lines are the shortest. If you arrive later, expect to wait in line for some of the more popular vendors.

Is There Any Parking Nearby?

Parking near Queens Night Market is limited at the venue. The onsite parking lot charges at least $15 and sees high demand during the event. So, either plan to arrive early or pre-book a parking spot – you’ll find several parking lots and garages that offer online reservations.

Street parking is available on 111th Street, 44th Avenue, and other cross streets in the neighborhood. But you’ll have to get there early to find a spot close to the market.

Tips for Visitors

  • Wear comfortable shoes, as you’ll be walking a lot.
  • Bring cash; some vendors may not accept other forms of payment.
  • Be prepared for crowds, especially on weekends and opening night.
  • Bring a reusable water bottle and help reduce waste.
  • Arrive early to avoid long lines at the popular vendors.
