Role Overview

Manage a team of Android and iOS engineers as they design, build, deploy, and maintain way.com app features related to automotive platform of services. Oversee and manage the development and delivery of highly technical cross-functional projects, while collaborating closely with engineering teams and colleagues in the USA and Canada.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the planning and scoping of critical projects and own the execution and delivery of engineering efforts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in Product, Design, Science, Research, Data Science, Regulatory, Marketing and other teams across our global organization.
• Mentor your reports to help develop their skills and foster professional growth. You will take pride in guiding them through their careers.
• Provide technical leadership to your team; while you may no longer write code, you are still deeply technical and will contribute to, and sometimes lead, technical discussions.
• Evaluate trade-offs and make sound technical decisions that impact entire projects.
• Champion engineering excellence, establish key metrics, and drive continuous operational improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

We would love to have you on our team if you have:

• Minimum of 7+ years experience in software engineering, of which 2+ years were as a manager of software engineers.
• BTech degree in computer science or MCA.
• Experience managing Android and/or iOS engineers.
• Experience shipping consumer-facing mobile applications and/or the systems that power them.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum processes and ability to advocate for process improvements.
• Strong communication, project management, and delegation skills. Able to drive cross-functional projects from inception to product launch.
• Strong people management skills. You proudly recognize achievements and successes and also do not hesitate to provide constructive feedback. You are also open to feedback and have a growth mindset.
