Detroit Airport terminals

Detroit Airport is a large, contemporary airport with two terminals: the McNamara, which serves Concourses A, B, and C, and the Evans (also known as North), which serves Concourse D. The two terminals are connected by a shuttle bus service that runs every 10 minutes. Both terminals offer a variety of food, shopping, and service opportunities, while McNamara has a much larger range overall.

If you look at the map of Detroit Airport, you'll notice that the two terminals are located at either end of the airport. Therefore, they aren't connected to each other. However, the John Dingle Drive (seen on the Detroit Airport map) runs between the terminals.

McNamara Terminal

McNamara is the largest of the two terminals, with three concourses - A, B, and C - serving SkyTeam carriers AeroMexico, Delta, and Air France. The terminal is located at the airport's southern end, with parking just outside and access to John Dingell Drive for inter-terminal connections or further travel.

McNamara Terminal features a central connecting area outside the security area with a few stores, cafés, and restaurants, the ticketing lobby on level 3, and the Westin Hotel on the lower level.

Evans Terminal

The Evans Terminal used to be called the North Terminal because it is located at the northern end of the airport and is the smaller of the two terminals, consisting of only Concourse D. Flights operated by non-SkyTeam airlines depart from gates D1-D6, D8-D12, D14-D21, and D24-D32.

Passengers may reach the Big Blue Deck parking garage from the upper level through the bridge and various ground transit options.

How to get between the terminals at Detroit Airport

Terminal shuttle buses, which operate outside the guarded area, are the only option to get between the two terminals. Shuttles leave from outside the ground transit areas every 10 minutes, stopping at both terminals and the Westin Hotel.
