William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), also known as Hobby Airport, is located approximately seven miles from downtown Houston and is affectionately referred to as Hobby Airport. This airport is ideal for passengers who wish to avoid crowds at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, which also serves the Houston metropolitan region. However, this smaller airport is expanding rapidly and handles over 8 million people annually. Having a Hobby Airport map or a Hobby Airport parking map handy will help you find your way around.
Houston Hobby offers both long-term and short-term parking onsite. The Hobby Airport parking map shows where the lots are located. However, if you're looking for more reasonably priced parking at Hobby Airport, you should consider the several offsite lots nearby.
Houston has two large commercial airports; William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) is a viable alternative to George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) due to its proximity to the city center.
If you happen to discover a flight that works for you, HOU's smaller size may make the airport experience faster and more convenient than IAH's.
Given that George Bush Airport handles all international flights into Houston, most flights at Hobby Airport are domestic. However, the modest size of Hobby Airport has a number of benefits. For instance, the security process appears comparatively quicker, and the service provided appears more individualized. Hobby Airport also has a decent selection of shopping and food alternatives.
