Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) has two terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 2 has four concourses (B, C, D, and E), connected after security by National Hall. Terminal 1 is a separate building with its own single concourse, Concourse A. This DCA Terminal Map guide covers the layout, gate numbers, and airlines in each terminal, helping you know exactly where to go.

DCA Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 map with gates, security checkpoints and parking

DCA Terminal 1

DCA Terminal 1 is DCA's smaller, original terminal building, home to Concourse A and Gates A1 through A9. It has one security checkpoint, with TSA PreCheck and CLEAR lanes available. For a closer look at dining, shops, and other amenities, see our DCA Terminal 1 guide.

DCA Terminal 2

Terminal 2 is DCA's larger, modern terminal, anchored by National Hall on the concourse level, which holds most of the airport's dining, retail, and lounge options. Once you're through security in Terminal 2, all four concourses connect, and you can walk between them without a second screening. Terminal 2 has two security checkpoints. The North Checkpoint is closest to American Airlines, and the South Checkpoint is closest to Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue Airways, and United Airlines, and also serves American Airlines. TSA PreCheck and CLEAR lanes are available at both checkpoints. You can check your DCA TSA Wait Times and plan your travel accordingly.

Are DCA Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 connected?

Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are not connected once you're past security. If you're connecting between terminals, you'll need to exit the secure area, walk to the other terminal, and go through security again, so allow extra time. A complimentary shuttle bus connects DCA's terminals for travelers moving between them. Gate assignments are subject to change. Make sure to check the live DCA Flight Status before heading to the airport.

Parking by terminal at DCA

DCA Parking 1 connects to Terminal 1 by a covered walkway, and Parking 2 connects to Terminal 2 the same way. The Economy Lot is located farther from both terminals, with a free shuttle running back and forth. See our DCA Airport Parking guide for current rates and parking lot options, including onsite and offsite parking choices.
