Can you get car insurance without a license?

Even if you are not the driver, it is possible to get car insurance without a license.

If you are buying car insurance and you do not have a license, then the primary driver should be the person who drives the car the most often. Though it might seem unlikely, here are some situations that call for it. 

• If you are unlicensed due to a health condition or any other temporary condition, such as being under eighteen or working towards getting a license. 
• You need to maintain your coverage if your license is suspended. 
• If you own a classic car, you will need the relevant coverage. 
• Your spouse, children, or caregiver is the primary driver. 

So, it is possible to get car insurance without a license and is not illegal. But, driving without either is illegal. Choose the companies that work with unlicensed drivers. The insurance company will list you as an excluded driver and designate the requested name as the primary driver.  If it is for a parked car, get only the coverage that is required.
