If you are willing to walk 10 to 20 minutes to save money, you can park at any of the several significantly cheaper private lots. 

The 600 Bergen Ave. Parking is 1.1 miles away and is the most cost-effective at $9 per hour. 204 E 126th St. Parking is 1.8 miles away and costs $10 per hour, whereas 1208 Franklin Ave. Parking is only 1.2 miles away at $11 per hour. You can also opt for free street parking in residential areas like Gerard Avenue, Walton Avenue, Jerome Avenue, and the Grand Concourse if you arrive early enough. Best in proximity (most convenient options)

For those seeking the easiest access to Yankee Stadium, the following options are the most secure.  

The 200 E 161st St. Garage (Concourse Plaza) offers self-parking, while 299 E 161st Parking is a covered lot with valet service. These garages are open 24/7 and are within walking distance of the stadium, at 0.43 miles and 0.55 miles, respectively. 380 E 162nd St. is another covered valet lot located 0.72 miles away.

The 161st Street Garage (20 E 161st St.) is an official parking facility for the Yankee Stadium. It accepts parking validation and offers self-parking at a flat rate for the duration of the event. It will cost you around $49 during major events.   

Things to remember

For those driving in from outside the city, the stadium is most easily reached via Interstate 87 (Major Deegan Expressway). Use Exit 3 if heading northbound or Exit 5 if heading southbound.
