Jared was great!!! He knows what he's doing and I felt like a valued customer!! He checked my windshield wipers as part of their inspection and recognized that they were in good shape. He also recognized that I work at Batteries Plus and probably take care of my own. He was kind and patient and good with the employee he was working with. He is just the kind of employee anyone would be proud to have representing their business! Kudos Take 5 for another fast friendly oil change and for having Jared on staff at this location!!
Cody did a great job! He was quick (he did almost all of it himself, except the safety check, someone else had to check for safety) and very knowledgeable. They greeted me kindly, brought a me a bottle of water, and were very friendly the entire time.
I normally discourage people from going to these types of places and I'm the type of person who likes to do things themselves but the reality is is that if you don't have a garage or other place to work on your car the logistics can be a real pain. Being that you are required to stay in your vehicle also ensures that you can see that the work is being done properly. While I waited I cleaned the inside of my car and the guy was nice enough to give me a water and later squeegee my windshield. Now could I have done it myself a little cheaper? Probably. But I also didn't have to go and buy tools and crawl under my hot car and then also later have to go somewhere to dispose of the old oil. I would say in regards to “upselling” that he did check my vehicle's fluids and engine air filter but they were all in good condition and really I didn't feel like pressured or anything though I'm sure if something were wrong I'd have felt inclined. Basically a free inspection. And he gave me a free coupon.
