Security and customs at Indianapolis Airport

There are two checkpoints for travelers. In addition, a PreCheck option is available for travelers. All passengers and TSA Pre are allowed at IND Concourses A and B Checkpoints.

TSA Pre Hours for IND Concourses A is at 3:30 a.m. ET daily. TSA Pre Hours for IND Concourses B is 4:15 a.m. ET daily. Both have TSA checkpoints, and you can reach any gate once you pass through either Concourse checkpoint. TSA PreCheck users are advised to proceed through Checkpoint A, despite the fact that Checkpoint B will still inspect them (although it will be faster).

Depending on the time of day, the lines at TSA checkpoints can get long - but TSA officials will get you through relatively quickly. The Way.com TSA Wait Times Page lists the hours and expected wait times for each security checkpoint.

All these checkpoints are operated with smart devices, so travelers do not have to wait much during security checks. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) of the federal government keeps an eye on the security checkpoints at the IND airport. Only travelers with tickets are permitted to pass through any of the security checkpoints. The concourses and flight gates are all accessible from all security checkpoints.
