Enter this location at the Signal Point Parking Area for the Cumberland Trail, Tennessee River Gorge Segment, Cumberland Trail State Park. This trailhead is located at the end of Signal Point Road off US-127 up on Signal Mountain. From Chattanooga, drive north on US-127 toward Signal Mountain, then turn left onto Mississippi Avenue, continue to James Boulevard, then turn onto Signal Point Road. Follow that to the paved Signal Point parking area; from there the trail and overlooks are straight ahead via marked access paths.
