About Fort Myers Airport

Southwest Florida International Airport, known as Fort Myers Airport. Fort Myers Airport (RSW) is a major county-owned airport in the South Fort Myers area of unincorporated Lee County, Florida. The Airport serves the Southwest Florida region, including the Naples-Marco Island, Cape Coral-Fort Myers, and Punta Gorda metropolitan areas. The RSW Airport is also a U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry. It currently is the second-busiest single-runway airport in the United States.

The Fort Myers Airport offers short-term and long-term parking options. There are several off-site parking lots that you can use. The parking lots can be spotted on the Fort Myers airport map above. The Fort Myers airport terminal map gives you a basic outline of the facilities available here. About 10 miles southeast of Fort Myers, the Airport is conveniently close to Interstate 75 and the surrounding cities. A shuttle service runs between the terminal and the economy car park, and both the short- and long-term parking lots are within easy walking distance.

More information on RSW Airport

EV parking

The Fort Myers Airport offers charging stations for customers operating electric vehicles. In 2015, four EV Charging stations were installed in the short-term and long-term parking garages. There is no fee for this service. However, customers will be charged the standard parking charges after they leave the lots. All charging stations are first-come, first-served. On the third level of the short-term parking garage, near the exit on the south side of the lot, you'll find EV Charging Stations in the first row of the long-term parking garage.

Accessible parking

All airport-owned parking lots include accessible parking for passengers with disabilities. In addition, wheelchair-accessible shuttle buses service the long-term parking lot. Short-term Parking (garage) and Long-term Parking (surface lots) at the Airport both accommodate disabled travelers around-the-clock.

To find the accessible parking spots in the Short-term Parking (garage) that are conveniently positioned by the elevators and walkways to the terminal, just look for the standard signs and symbols upon entering the garage. Emergency call boxes are equipped with push buttons strategically placed around the parking lots.

If you park in the Long-term lot, a free shuttle will take you and your bags right to the airport door. You can count on the shuttle driver to help you with your bags. Let the attendant know when you enter the Long-term Parking Lot if you need a wheelchair-accessible shuttle bus.

Pet Relief Areas in RSW

Two pet relieving zones, one on either side of the terminal building, are available for use at Southwest Florida International Airport. Exit through Door 1 and turn left, or exit through Door 6 and turn right, to reach the pet relieving stations located on each side of the terminal building.

The other two can be found on opposite sides of the parking garage, directly opposite the Airport's baggage claim area. Use Door 1 or Door 6 and cross the street to reach the designated relieving spots.

In the terminals of RSW Airport, animals are not allowed unless they are service animals or in approved pet carriers.
