Does Costco install car batteries? 

As of now, Costco doesn’t install car batteries. However, you can buy Interstate-brand car batteries from Costco. Once you get the battery you desire, you can either seek professional help or go ahead and switch out the battery yourself.

• First, remove the negative or the black cable, then the positive or red one. 
• Check whether there are any hold-downs used for securing the battery.  
• Remove the battery and install the new one by lining it up with the correct terminals.  
• Attach the positive cable of the new battery first, and then the negative one. 
• You can secure the hold-downs (if applicable) to properly fix the battery. 

One thing to note while buying batteries from Costco is that they sell Interstate batteries with a limited warranty. If the battery fails to operate before the end of the warranty period, Costco will replace it. If you replace the faulty one before the warranty period, Costco will refund a portion of the battery cost or give you a new battery.
