Question
How much does a Tesla weigh?
Tesla has a long lineup of vehicles across different weight categories. Also, these weights vary depending on the trim levels.
Model 3, the most affordable Tesla offering, is also the lightest vehicle in the lineup. Available across three trims, the Model 3 Standard Range Plus with a single motor is the lightest at 3862 pounds. The dual-motor Long Range trim weighs 4034 pounds, and the all-wheel-drive Performance trim weighs 4048 pounds.
The tri-motor-equipped Model S Plaid weighs 4766 pounds. However, the dual-motor Model S Long Range is slightly lighter than both these models, weighing just 4561 pounds.
The Tesla Model X, which comes in Long Range and the tri-motor Model X Plaid trims, is much heavier. They weigh 5185 and 5390 pounds, respectively.
One of Tesla’s major success stories, the Model Y, is available in two trims: Long Range and Performance (dual-motor). Both models have a curb weight of 4416 pounds.
The Tesla Cybertruck is heavier than the Tesla Model X. The AWD Cybertruck weighs 6,603 pounds. Moreover, the Cyberbeast, which has an additional electric motor, is even heavier, at 6,843 pounds, making it 240 pounds heavier than the Cybertruck.
The Roadster, which marked Tesla’s entry into the EV space more than a decade ago, weighs just 2723 pounds, making it the lightest Tesla ever produced.
