I went to the West Point, UT Oil Changers today. Their customer service was really good and appeared to be genuine and honest. I liked not having to get out of my vehicle while the two technicians did their job, that’s different from other oil change places. It made it more personal and was kind of cool just watching them do their thing. The tech was great in letting me know they were short handed, explaining the time frame of when they would expect to be done. I wasn’t in a hurry so I didn’t pay close attention to how long it took, but it didn’t feel like it took more than 20 minutes. They appeared to be thorough in their assessment and work productivity. A nice bonus was that they asked me if I had any discounts or coupons, which I didn’t, however, I mentioned receiving several in the mail and because of that they applied a 50% discount to my total purchase without having a coupon in hand. Clean place, friendly staff. If I had a critique it would be the need for more staff. It also appeared that one of the techs had parked their personal vehicle in the lone handicap stall in front of the business without a handicap placard or plate indicating that they could park there. This wasn’t a big deal for me, but something that could rub some people the wrong way. First appearances and impressions do make a big deal.
It's a drive-thru service station, so it's pretty quick, you stay in your car, and you don't need an appointment (you can technically make them online, but they weren't keeping track when I went). There hasn't been a wait any time I've been, and they always seem to be having some deal (last time was $20 off oil changes). I've taken two cars here, twice for one and once for the other. Emissions was done very quickly--fast enough that I didn't have any trouble with a one-year-old child in the car. The oil changes have been a bit slower: maybe 30-40 minutes with one person doing the oil change.
Jeremiah and Jess were short staffed today; however, they went above and beyond with my oil change. They removed my dragging skid plate. They were also a good team.
