I was just passing through Reno and found out the shop in my city overfilled my engine oil. These guys fixed it for me in just a few minutes. I was honestly surprised they didn’t even want to charge me. Of course I left a tip. Super friendly team, great service, I definitely recommend this place. Thanks a lot guys, really appreciate it. Easy 5 stars ?
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Utterly Unreasonable Display of Decency Let me just say, I was not prepared for this level of pampering. I pulled in for a simple oil change, fully expecting the usual transactional grimness, but what I got was... an experience. First, a woman named Casey materialized at my window with the kind of welcoming smile usually reserved for a beloved family member. She actually introduced herself as the manager. The manager! I was hoping for a little anonymity, maybe a surly nod, but no. She insisted on treating me like a guest at a very, very, very small, oily hotel. Before I could even remember my own name, I was handed a bottle of water. Cold. Free. This, apparently, is the sacred ritual of the “water bestowal” that marks the beginning of your indoctrination into their cult of kindness. I was trapped in my car, but instead of feeling like a prisoner, I felt like a dignitary in a mobile throne room. The staff then had the audacity to be friendly and joke with me. They made me feel comfortable. Do they have any idea how disorienting that is? I came here to stare at my phone in awkward silence, not to chuckle and feel like a human being. It was a brazen violation of the unspoken customer-service contract. The service was fast, the price was as expected, but the customer service was just... fantastic. It was so over-the-top pleasant that I'm now ruined for all other mundane errands. My grocery store clerk didn't ask about my day with genuine interest. The postal worker failed to offer me a complimentary beverage. It's a bleak landscape out there now. So, thanks a lot, Take 5, and especially Casey. You've set a dangerously high bar for basic human interaction. My car's oil is changed, but my soul is somehow also... lubricated? I'll be back, but know that I will be expecting this level of theatrical hospitality every single time. It's your fault.
The staff at Take5 were very friendly. Very thorough, calling out how much oil was needed, checking my air filter, tire pressure. Everything they touched, was double checked by another employee, which was very reassuring. An employee even gave us two bottles of water as we drove in. They were very efficient and everybody there was respectful. They even gave the dog a biscuit. Highly recommend this location.
