What does validated parking mean?

Parking validation is when a business helps cover your parking cost when you visit them.

It works like a parking discount or sometimes a complete waiver. Once the business stamps, scans, or marks your parking ticket, you simply present it when you exit to receive your discount or a complete waiver.

How does ‘validated parking’ work?

It’s actually simple, and the process is almost the same as normal parking. The main benefit is that you get a price reduction or a complete waiver. 

First, take your parking ticket from the machine as usual and make sure you don’t lose it. 

Then you visit a place like a store, doctor’s office, or restaurant, and either make a purchase or attend your appointment. 

After that, you show your parking ticket, and they stamp it, scan it, or provide a coupon for a parking fee waiver or discount. 

When you leave the parking lot, use the stamped ticket or scanned validation to pay the discounted amount, or sometimes you won’t have to pay anything at all. 

Why do businesses do it? 

The primary intent of businesses is to provide good service and encourage people to choose them. Offering validated parking not only attracts new customers but also gives existing customers a reason to revisit.
