What does JCT mean?

JCT on US highway signs is the standard abbreviation used for 'Junction.' 

JCT is something you often spot on road signs to indicate a place where two or more roads meet. Meanwhile, the roads might cross over or under each other or intersect directly.

If you see a “JCT” sign with a numbered highway or Interstate, it means you are going to intersect with an Interstate highway. For example, if a sign says “JCT 66” with the symbol of a US Route shield, it means the next junction will be US Route 66.
