About SFO Terminal 2
SFO Terminal 2, formerly called the Central Terminal, was opened on September 1, 1954, and provides landing positions for aircraft of all types and can accommodate up to five million passengers annually. Central Terminal, closed to passengers in December 2000, was opened for operations on April 14, 2011. This domestic terminal is composed of Boarding Area C and has gates numbered C2 to C11 and D1 to D18.
