Terminal 4 is home to 2 American Airlines lounges: the American Airlines Admirals Club and the American Airlines Flagship Lounge.

Admirals Club

The Admirals Club is American's standard lounge and is available to Admirals Club members, eligible premium cabin passengers, and qualifying elite status holders. The Admirals Club is located near Gate 41 on the concourse level. The club is open daily from 4:30 a.m. to 1 a.m.

The club offers:

Flagship Lounge

Terminal 4 also has a more exclusive Flagship Lounge near the Admirals Club. Access is available to eligible First and Business Class passengers traveling on qualifying same-day international, transcontinental, or domestic flights operated by American, Oneworld, or Aer Lingus. Day passes cost $150 or 15,000 AAdvantage miles per person. The Single Visit Pass may be purchased at open Flagship Lounge locations, and purchasers must be at least 21.

Because Terminal 4 connects to TBIT through an airside walkway, some travelers departing from Terminal B may be able to reach these lounges without leaving the secure area, depending on lounge access rules.

Checking in at LAX Terminal 4

American Eagle at LAX Terminal 4

American Eagle operates some flights from LAX’s separate Regional Terminal. American currently identifies these flights as using Gates 52A–52J. Passengers traveling on these flights must take a shuttle from Terminal 4 to the Regional Terminal and should allow additional time to reach the departure gate.

From Terminal 4, take the shuttle from Level 2 and follow signs for “American Eagle Terminal Transfer Gates 52A–52J.”

Getting to and from LAX Terminal 4

Los Angeles Airport Terminal 4 connects to LAX’s standard ground transportation network, including:

  • Terminal Connector (inter-terminal shuttle)
  • Metro Connector
  • LAX FlyAway
  • Rental car transportation
  • Hotel and private parking shuttles
  • Shared-ride services

Security at LAX Terminal 4

Terminal 4 has TSA passenger screening facilities, including a checkpoint located one level above the concourse on Level 4. Expedited security screening at LAX Terminal 4 includes CLEAR and TSA PreCheck lanes. Since security operations can change during construction, check the current airport signs and your airline’s instructions when you arrive. Average TSA wait times can vary depending on the time of day.

For live security information, use Way’s LAX TSA Wait Times page.

Can you walk from Terminal 4 to other LAX Terminals?

Yes. Ticketed passengers can walk between the main LAX terminals after security, but the Regional Terminal is reachable only by airside shuttle. Terminals 4 through LAX Terminal 8 are connected by both underground and above-ground walkways. Terminal 4 also connects to the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) via a connector bridge. From TBIT, an airside connection leads to LAX Terminal 3 and then onward to LAX Terminal 1.

Outside the secure area, passengers can walk between terminals using sidewalks. Shuttle services are also available between terminals for passengers who prefer not to walk.

The Terminal 4.5 Vertical Core, completed in 2022, will link Terminal 4 to the SkyLink people mover station.
