We are seeking a Director of Sales to build and lead our high-performance sales team, drive revenue, and scale our go-to-market strategy.

Role Overview

As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing a high-impact sales strategy to accelerate the adoption of our SaaS platform among auto repair shops. This role requires a leader with strong SaaS sales expertise, a track record of scaling sales teams, and deep knowledge of the auto repair industry. You will be expected to work onsite in our Fremont, CA office, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a scalable sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing SaaS sales team, fostering a culture of accountability and results.
  • Identify and prioritize key market segments, focusing on independent repair shops, multi-location franchises, and enterprise accounts.
  • Drive outbound prospecting, pipeline development, and full-cycle sales execution.
  • Optimize the sales process, playbook, and CRM workflows to improve efficiency and deal velocity.
  • Own the entire sales funnel, from lead generation to contract closure.
  • Work closely with marketing to refine messaging and inbound lead qualification.
  • Develop compelling value propositions and sales presentations tailored to auto repair shop owners and decision-makers.
  • Implement data-driven sales tactics (A/B testing, pipeline forecasting, and conversion optimization).
  • Build strategic industry partnerships to drive market penetration and customer acquisition.
  • Represent Way.com at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to align sales strategies with business objectives.

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of SaaS sales leadership experience, with a proven track record of scaling sales teams and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of auto repair shop operations, shop management software (like AutoLeap, Shopmonkey, Mitchell 1, Tekmetric), and automotive SaaS solutions.
  • Experience hiring, training, and managing a high-performing sales team.
  • A data-driven mindset with strong pipeline management, forecasting, and KPI tracking skills.
  • Excels at prospecting, closing high-value deals, and executing outbound sales strategies.
  • Proficient in Salesforce, HubSpot, or other CRM tools, and experience optimizing sales processes through automation.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, excited to build something from the ground up.
