Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG) consists of the main terminal building featuring three concourses. Terminal level 1 is for the Meeting point. Terminal Level 2 has baggage claim. Two baggage claim carousels are located on each side of this floor, for a total of four. Passengers ride a people mover to Concourse A or B to go to their gate after going through security in the main terminal.
Ticketing and Check-in are on Terminal level 3. Concourse A Gates has Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, Apple Vacations, Southwest, Sun Country, Frontier, United, Vacation Express, Allegiant, Iva Aerobus, etc. Each of the 23 gates on Concourse A is designated by a number from A1 to A23. There are a total of 28 terminals in Concourse B, numbered B1-28. Concourse B is the area where all international arrivals without pre-clearance s are processed.
Between the terminals and the parking garages, there is a free underground tram service (every 90 seconds) and free shuttle buses.
In addition to the ValuPark lot, the Terminal Garage (Level D, Row 30) now has charging outlets for electric vehicles (Row 1 on the left as you enter.)
Customers that pay for parking get access to the charging stations at no additional cost. A completely charged vehicle can be driven away from either location after only 8 hours of charging using the available Level 1 charging equipment (120 volts, 20 amps).
It's first come, first served, and only so many spots are available. Depending on the season and arrival time, the passengers may have to wait in line.
All airport-owned parking lots include accessible parking for passengers with disabilities. In addition, wheelchair-accessible shuttle buses service the long-term parking lot.
CVG Terminal Garage has accessible parking spots for those who need them if the individual in need of help is driving oneself. CVG ValuPark is another option since the driver will help carry luggage from the car to the shuttle bus and then from the shuttle bus to the Ground Transport West position in the Terminal. A phone number to call for wheelchair assistance is posted at the Terminal's entrance.
The fenced-in outdoor pet relief space is typically more comfortable than the indoor pet relief facilities. If you are already inside the airport but decide to use the outdoor site, you will need to re-enter the airport through security.
TSA PreCheck is available at CVG Airport. To reach security once you've checked in, walk along the bridge. Less than two hundred feet separate the bridge and the entrance to the restricted area. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) keeps an eye on the CVG airport's security checkpoints. Passengers without tickets will not be permitted to pass through any of the security checkpoints. There is no locked door between the terminals and the gates.
Men's, women's, and family restrooms are on the opposite side of the bridge. Wheelchair access is provided at all CVG bathrooms. Before going through security, double-check your boarding pass to be sure you're going to the right checkpoint. A screen near the middle of the security entry displays wait times, or you can go online to cvgairport.com.
The entrances to the different lanes are marked on digital signs. Plus, the entry is reserved for those with a Pre-check marking on their boarding pass.
You can get to CVG Airport by bus, shuttle taxi, rideshare, or driving down.
