Jacksonville Airport is located in northeast Florida, next to Biscayne Village, Garden City, Oceanway, and San Mateo. Jacksonville Airport is officially designated with the IATA code JAX. The city center of Jacksonville is only a short drive from Jacksonville International Airport (JAX). The Airport, located roughly 15 miles (24 km) to the north of the city, has developed into a significant air hub serving northern Florida and southern Georgia.
The JAX Airport offers both short-term and long-term parking options. The Jacksonville Airport Terminal Map clearly has all details regarding the terminals. The Parking Map shows the location of the parking lots. There are several offsite parking lots available nearby the Airport.
Over six million passengers pass through the Airport each year, and nonstop flights connect the Airport to numerous major US destinations. Thanks to the nine major airlines and several smaller carriers, there are over 200 daily arrivals and departures at Jacksonville International. The Jacksonville Aviation Authority operates the Airport.

The Airport is simple to traverse because of its single terminal and three concourses. There is a nice variety of stores and eateries to choose from. Jacksonville Airport has two main concourses for all passengers - Concourse A and Concourse C. Concourse B has closed down. Concourse B will be rebuilt when passenger traffic increases. The Airport is open 24/7. The Airport has multiple levels to it. Level 1 has the Baggage claim area, information booths, and ground transportation facility. Level 2 is the Ticketing area. The Lost and found office and the USO lounge are located on Level 1.
The Jacksonville airport is really easy to navigate. The JAX Airport has just a single terminal with two active Concourses. Both the arrival and departure areas are conveniently located on their own clearly defined floors. Before entering the security checkpoint, you can visit a few stores and restaurants. When you pass through security, you'll find two small concourses (A and C) with a total of ten gates. Walking is the preferred way to navigate the Airport.
Several Offsite EV charging and parking spots are available nearby the airport.
All airport-owned parking lots include accessible parking for passengers with disabilities. In addition, wheelchair-accessible shuttle buses service the long-term parking lot.
Both the Hourly Garage and the Daily Garage provide reserved parking spots for the disabled on each level, close to the elevators.
Accessible parking spots in the Daily Surface Lot can be found next to the Daily Garage.
Economy Bus stops are located close to accessible parking spots in Parking Lots 1 and 2.
Call the parking office at (904) 741-2277 if you require any additional help.
Vehicles with a disability parking permit or license tag will be subject to public parking charges except as provided by Florida State Law when parking in the Hourly Garage, Daily Garage, Daily Surface Lot, or Economy Lot (except Valet Parking), veterans with a "DV" license plate do not have to pay the standard rate. The license plate's recipient, a disabled veteran, must be present in the vehicle at all times for the exemption to apply. Until such time as the procedures for verification are completed.
Both are conveniently located and accessible to passengers of any airline.
TSA PreCheck is available at JAX Airport. TSA PreCheck can be used to pass the queue faster and benefit people who travel frequently. Passengers without tickets are not permitted to proceed past security checks. If you are accompanying a child or passenger with special needs flying alone, you should contact the airline in advance to get a companion pass and any other relevant information. With this pass in hand, you will be able to accompany the passenger through security and to the gate.
Airport security at JAX is easily accessible from the courtyard. Since each terminal exits onto the courtyard, it's a convenient site to receive arriving passengers.
You can get to JAX Airport by bus, shuttle taxi, rentals, or driving down.
The Jacksonville Transport Authority runs the terminal-to-airport bus service. The Bus CT3 is a public transportation vehicle operated by the transit authority that is renowned for its spotless cleanliness and luxurious luxury. The bus schedule includes both weekday and weekend service. The best aspect, though, is that riders of this bus need never wait. The bus picks up passengers promptly because it operates frequently.
The Jacksonville Transportation Authority bus system connects directly to Jacksonville International Airport via public transportation. The Airport is connected to downtown Jacksonville via the Route 1 bus, which also provides access to Greyhound Bus Lines and the Jacksonville Skyway monorail system.
Shuttle services to and from the Airport are provided by a variety of companies. In particular, Go Airport Shuttle is the most frequently used service of its kind. Outside of the baggage claim area, 24-hour shared-ride shuttles are a convenient and inexpensive way to get to your destination. Taxis can be used whenever you need them, and there is no need to call ahead for a reservation.
Near the terminal's main entrance, you can find several airport taxis. Using an unlicensed taxi service is risky, as their fees are likely to be exorbitant regardless of the traffic conditions. However, the official taxi service at the Airport is Gator City Taxis, which can be reached at (904) 999-9999. To get to JAX International Airport from your pickup location, you can take advantage of Gator Taxi City, which is affiliated with the Airport and offers one-way fares for roughly US$25.
Several onsite car rental agencies are located near the baggage claim area. Alamo/National, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, etc., to name a few.
